Isabelle and Thiery were very welcoming and although they are living in the same location (on the farm) they are completely separate and very unobtrusive. Was very surprised as to how many extras were provided eg dish washer tablets, clothing washing supplies, toilet rolls, plenty of towels. We were welcomed with some very lovely local gifts - chocolates, wine, coffee to name a few - very generous of the hosts. The pool was lovely and ‘refreshing’. Loved the table tennis! Great location - felt you were rural but only minutes away from Eymet which is a lovely town. Also some great supermarkets not far - Aldi, intermarche and carrefour. Nearby lake was great to walk the dog. Suggest you take wellies if you want to walk round the farm! Didn’t go to the lake - it was very still so no good for paddle boarding etc. overall we had a very relaxing time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

une maison confortable et bien équipée dans un environnement magnifique et calme

Tous nos remerciements à Isabelle et Thierry pour leur accueil très sympathique. Nous avons aimé le confort de cette grande maison très bien équipée et le jardin bien exposé, adapté aux enfants où ils peuvent être "lâchés" en toute sécurité. Nous n'avons pas profité de la piscine bien sécurisée en ce mois d'avril, mais elle doit être très appréciée en été de même que la pergola et les chaises longues. Surtout nous avons eu un coup de coeur pour cette belle et calme campagne et pour les animaux de la ferme dont la présence a réjoui petits et grands.

Séjour plus qu'agréable

La maison est très propre, décorée avec goût et chacun à son espace (2 familles avec 5 enfants en tout). Mention spéciale pour la cuisine qui nous a permis de cuisiner avec un beau panorama face à nous. Petit plus les lits faits à l'arrivée !! La piscine est sécurisée et assez grande. Les animaux de la ferme ont fait le bonheur des enfants qui ont pu leur donner à manger quand ils le voulaient. Enfin, pour parfaire tout cela, nous avons vraiment été bien accueillis par les propriétaires qui ont su nous conseiller des activités sympathiques (marché d'Issigeac le dimanche matin, repas festif le vendredi soir à la Sauvetat). Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine et nous y retournerons dès l'été prochain.

Un très bon séjour passé au gîte des chênes

Le gîte était très conforme à la description et aux photos. Isabelle et Thierry sont des personnes très accueillant et nous les remercions pour leur gentillesses et leur conseils pour découvrir la région. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au sein du gîte des chênes. Les animaux font le bonheur des enfants et des grands. Un grand merci pour tout.

Superbe séjour

Merci à Thierry et Isabelle pour cet accueil très chaleureux. Nous avons passé un super séjour à 2 familles avec les enfants. Le gîte est très bien pensé avec des espaces pour chacun. Les adultes apprécient ce lieu très paisible en pleine nature et les enfants s'éclatent avec les animaux de la ferme et ont un sentiment de liberté rarement éprouvé dans leur quotidien. Je recommande vivement ce gite pour de vraies vacances reposantes dans un super cadre.

Central pour divers activités

Un séjour au top. Des propriétaires présent mais discret, maison très bien , piscine agréable, une région qui Dr toute façon à toute notre attention. Un problème d'eau chaude qui aurai pu gâcher le séjour mais qui en fait nous a fait un bon souvenir. Le grand plus les ânes et chevaux qui sont proches, les petits et les grands on apprécié. We live on Lauzanac Farm since 1991 and are from this area. We have 2 boys now in their own houses but not too far from us. They come to help on the farm if necessary.
We have cows on the farm and, for the guests pleasure, especially for the kids, we also have 2 donkeys, 2 horses, 3 goats, 1 pig, 1 goose, some rabbits and of course 1 dog and 1 cat.

The farm is very small, only 50 ha. We are happy to welcome guests in our 2 cottages (2 swimming-pools) and give some advise if you need for your visits or to answer to your questions about the area.

We like old stones, architecture and walking in the countryside. To go outside with our friends, good restaurants and good wines. We are volunteers in different associations of the village.

We don't go on holidays very often but are lucky to travel a lot through our visitors who come from France, the UK, Belgium, Canada, USA, Australia, New-Zealand, Argentina, Italy, Israël...

Lauzanac could be a lovely place if you want to visit the Dordogne. We are also very closed the Lot-et-Garonne and the Gironde.

We will be pleased to meeting you one day.
