I have never written a bad review, but this stay was such a huge bummer I have to share. We searched and booked this home based on two requirements; a pool, and air conditioning. When we arrived to our dismay, the pool was closed, and appeared to have been that way for some time. Even though the booking advertised the pool as part of the destination. I immediately contacted the owner to share my utter shock and dissatisfaction, to be met oh ya the pool is closed and we haven’t changed our listing. Our stay was Labor Day weekend and the temperatures where close to triple digits. We had no access to any pool, the owner made no effort to remedy the situation besides offering us ice cream that they never gave us. Our plan for the hot weekend was to swim and we had absolutely no way of doing that. The house had no SHARC passes, and you can’t get general admission due to Covid. Our three kids were so disappointed. The air conditioner stopped working the first night of our stay. It was super hot and uncomfortable. I let the owner know the next day. Someone came to look at it, and then they proceeded to accuse us of turning the AC too low (which we did not!) and didn’t fix it. We had no air conditioner that night as well and into the last day of our visit. The saddest part is I tried to communicate every issue, and I hate writing this review, but when you spend this kind of money it is so unfair and frustrating to be treated this way. I hope no one else has to experience this, but this was so very unpleasant.
