A great central location opposite the Arena which was within easy walking distance the central railway station and everything else in Nimes. Which made it a very enjoyable summer holiday.

Nimes vacation

The accommodation was fine, some of the crockery was dirty so we had to check and clean as we went through the week, the stairs to the apartment were challenging they certainly raised the heart rate. The location was fabulous very close to the city centre and all the historic attractions. All told we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Visit 15th-22nd July

Christelle was wonderful…she gave us lots of information about the area, what to do and where to visit . The history of the house was brilliant. The property was just what we wanted in Nimes…the roof terrace made it, can’t wait to go back

Wonderful property

We stayed at this property for a few nights while in Nîmes, for festival. The location is across from the Arena of Nîmes, and an easy walk to many restaurants. It’s a large place with all the amenities, and very clean. Christelle is a fabulous host and communicated with us before, during and after our stay. We had a great stay and recommend it to any adult group or couple.

Absolutely delightful with unquestionably the BEST location in Nîmes - just across from the Arena. During the Festival of Nîmes, you can sit on the patio at night with wine and listen to a different concert every night! One note: if when you visit the Arena, they will have a stage in the center during this time, closing off the arena floor. Christelle is delightful and genuinely helpful. When we had an issue she immediately worked on fixing it. I only regretted that I didn't tell her sooner. She had everything we needed including cookware, flatware - even spices. The apartment was built in the 1400s and has a lot of character and charm. As others have noted it is up two flights of stairs. I had no problems, despite having a knee issue, though I did limit my ups and downs. The patio is up one additional set of stairs but, again, quite manageable. There is a half bath and sink on that level along with flatwear, glasses and plates. We were there during a hot spell (average of 95F/35C). The air conditioner kept the main living space quite cool and comfortable. The main bedroom is off the living room and has a sunroof that helped cool the room. The 2nd bedroom is on the other side of the entrance and we found a fan to push cool air into that room.We would absolutely return. We had a fantastic time.

Quirky but amazing!

My friend and I recently spent two weeks in Nimes at Christelle's lovely apartment. The layout is a little quirky, but we quickly learned our way around and fell in love. The location is excellent. The old part of the city, with dozens of cafes and shops, is a very short walk away. You can see the top of the arena from the terrace. And speaking of the terrace - we lived up there. The weather was a perfect 75 degrees for the duration. There is a sink, small fridge, dishes and a toilet on that level. Making dinner on the terrace a snap. There are three flights of steps to the apartment, four up to the terrace. We are both 65 and managed - even with luggage. The apartment was quiet and cool. Christelle and her dad were very gracious and friendly. I would stay here again and I would highly recommend it for your stay in Nimes.
Dinner from Les Halles on the terrace.

Christelle was an excellent host and the apartment was perfect for us. It was so centrally located with nothing more than a few minutes walk away. And, if there happens to be a concert at the arena, you can enjoy it from the terrace like we did with The Cure!Additionally, the garage was a tremendous asset. I will warn those that arrive in a car to make sure your rental is on the small-side, as the garage entrance and space is quite narrow and intended for small vehicles.Nimes is an enchanting town with so much history and a great base to explore the entire area!Thank you Christelle!

Really wonderful apartment but be warned: there are 49 steps to get to the apartment and an additional 15 to get to the terrace. Do some strengthening exercises to prepare.

Eindeutig 5 Sterne!

Christelle (Owner) met us punctually and gave us a complete introduction to her home. The pictures and write up give a true depiction of her home. It is very comfortable and outfitted with everything that is needed. It was very much appreciated that the kitchen area has all needed basics. Soaps, paper towels, toilet tissues etc., were all there. Truly a lovely home. Thank you Christelle. Bill and Diane

Merveilleux

In the heart of Roman culture and southern France today.

Christelle's Nimes apartment is splendidly located within this city of infinite charms. Its magical terrace overlooks both the 2000-year old Roman arena and the glass rooftop of Nimes' new Musée de la Romanité. Climbing the old building's many stairs is well-worth the effort to enjoy this marvelous view, as well as for the unique interior design of Christelle's spacious and modern two-bedroom, two-bath apartment.

Quirky apartment in the centre of Nimes.

The apartment was very well equipped and comfortable. The location could not have been better and Christelle, the owner, was a delight to deal with. Being right in the centre of town meant that there was some noise from the streets especially at the weekend. However, that did not spoil our enjoyment and we would love to go back.

STUNNING APARTMENT IN THE HEART OF NIMES

We have stayed in many apartments in France over the past few years but this really is the best. The accommodation is spacious and full of character and you really feel you are 'living' France. The apartment has every facility you could ask for and the terrace with its view of les arenes (the Roman amphitheatre) is amazing - a sun-trap with a great view. To add to this, it is a very short walk from the railway station and only a few steps to the town centre. A boulangerie for your daily baguette is literally on the doorstep. To cap it all, the owner, Christelle, is most charming, welcoming, helpful and kind. Our heart-felt thanks, Christelle. WE RECOMMEND THIS 1000% Michael and Philip Enscot, UK

Amazing apartment

We stayed in this home for 5 days on our recent visit to Nimes. It was perfect and so beautiful. The terrace made our trip. There were concerts at the arena almost every night and the sounds drifted over to us. We had a group of 5 people and everyone had their own space. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to make our meals. Such a wonderful place. Will definitely stay agin if I return to the area!

8.-15. April 2017 Magrit und Markus, Bern
