We had a wonderful family weekend on the River in this lovely VRBO. It is a beautiful setting with great accommodations and room to spread out on the different patios and balconies. Loved having coffee on one of the balconies while watching the birds in the trees each morning and enjoyed a lovely family dinner on the balcony off the main house in the evening. Both overlooking the river. Everything in the house was clean and well stocked. Highly recommend.

One of the better VRBO visits…extremely clean house(s), comfortable furniture and beds, great supplies and very well organized. Host provided an exceptional selection of paper and plastic products to cut down on the need to wash a lot of dishes. Kayaks and tubes were great for river activities.

This property is absolutely perfect for a getaway to the New Braunfels/Gruene area. It’s literally 4-10 minutes from anything that you’ll want to do, including the Gruene Dance Hall, Schlitterbahn, The Gristmill, tubing stations and much more; all while being on a secluded, beautiful piece of riverfront land. Additionally, it was supremely clean and was possibly the best stocked rental I’ve ever seen. My family and I had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this property!

Beautiful property and overlook of the Guadalupe. The current is surprisingly slow in this section of the river, making it VERY safe for recreation on the river right in front of the house. Kitchen was well-appointed with everything we needed. The house rules may appear to be stringent, but it showed to me that the Owner cares about the property (and it shows). Our family plans our annual summer vacation trips to explore different parts of the country, but we truly enjoyed this place that is in our own backyard. We hope to visit again.

This was a wonderful stay, exactly what we were looking for.Chris and Johanna were very welcoming and responsive to all our needs. The house was really nice and comfortable for a large group. We found everything we needed and loved the large dining table overlooking the river, for breakfast and dinner. The location is also very convenient for visiting Gruene, where we enjoyed the live country music and artisanal shops.I definitely recommend this place. It exceeded all our expectations.

There are two very charming homes on the property which my family & another family shared, making this a more affordable yet luxurious & spacious than hotel or cottage. Every room was beautifully decorated & impeccably clean in every way. The kitchen was well equipped with every accessory & kitchen tool that we needed (& more!). EVERYTHING was meticulously cared for but still comfortable for our families. The hosts were welcoming & very responsive & check-in was easier than any other vacation home we've stayed. The spring fed river was so refreshing, clean & cool & kayaks were available for guests to use as well as a "floating" dock.Though the water was high, the current was NOT SWIFT in this area of the river. This made our stay all the more relaxing (though we still kept a vigilant watch on our children) . The multiple balconies & outside decks, were deeply shaded by a diversity of mature trees & we enjoyed the riverfront view from several levels & angles. We felt a cool breeze from the river, though we were staying in the heat of summer! Also, we noticed several species of butterfly by day & we all were delighted to find fireflies in the evening! Our stay was serene, relaxing & perfect for us as nature enthusiasts to stay while celebrating my birthday & visiting the spectacular BrackenCave. We hope we will be able to visit again (Thank you, dear hosts for sharing your lovely home!)
