Location and sea view great!

We had pleasant stay. The studio is in a perfect location at the seaside close to the city center. The view is amazing. The bathroom can really do with an update, and so do other things in the interior. But everything works. The kitchen appliances, e.g. knives, need replacement. The representatives from the agency were really friendly and approachable.

Super adresse à retenir

Cette année la rénovation du logement concernant la cuisine surtout. Bien que ce soit un studio, très bonne fonctionnalité du logement. L'emplacement est exceptionnel aussi bien au niveau de la vue, que la proximité des commerces et de la vieille ville Splendide vue mer et belle terrasse. Un porte-manteau dans la salle de bain serait le bienvenu.....

Un studio qui est très bien situé face à la mer. Serait parfait si l'agence qui s'en occupe faisait le minimum. Oreillers couverts d'auréoles jaunes, pas d'alèze pour protéger le matelas, couteaux de cuisine qui ne coupent pas, paquet de pain au lait entamé des précédents locataires dans le placard. Pas de papier toilette à l'arrivée. Le miroir de la salle de bain pas nettoyé des précédents locataires (beurp). Le revêtement des portes des placards de la cuisine est rafistofé avec du scotch. Une télévision ridiculement petite qui, de plus, penche en avant et sur le côté en même temps...

Balcony, view and location fabulous - but make sure you bring or buy your own bedding and towels.

I have stayed at a lot of properties overseas through Homeaway and a few other similar rental organisations, staying at some wonderful places and met some lovely owners. Unfortunately it is with mixed feelings that I write this review. This rental is managed by an agency, so not sure if the owner is aware of how the place is kept or not. On the site it says communication is in French, Italian and English and is 100%, well this is just not quite the case, there was no communication after I emailed several times, then it was all in French. No instruction for arrival, had to call England Homeaway to speak to them to confirm arrival and procedure the day before arrival. After a 7 hour drive from Lyon, plus an hour stuck in traffic between Monaco and Menton, we finally arrived at the agency, which is just around the corner from the apartment then shown through apartment. Room very stuffy and basic decor is an understatement. The bed was very low to the floor and a thin mattress. There was also no sheets, duvet, pillows, just a very grubby blanket on the end of the bed. I asked the agent about sheets, he then looked in the cupboard, none, just a couple of very dirty pillows, another couple of dirty looking blankets. A vacuum cleaner that was absolutely full. He then said he would get me some sheets and to meet him on the corner of the street. I did this and was given a plastic bag with a plastic mattress protector and a set of sheets. At least they were clean. The lounge is a folded up bed with a very dirty black cover, full of animal hair and white staining. Kitchen old, shabby, cupboard door vinyl held together with sticky tape. No toaster or kettle, but a microwave and coffee maker. Crockery mostly chipped and odd assortment of cups & glasses. View is fantastic, which is what you are paying for, no double glazing, so very noisy, even with shutters down. The floors not clean, very gritty and although walls recently painted, was grubby near the lounge area. The bathroom had a smell of a men's urinal, and there is a small container on the floor at the back of toilet to catch any leaks, it was full. As it was late, the first night we stayed in a hotel across the road just so we could have a shower and a decent sleep. Next day we bought pillows, towels, bath mat. We were only in the apartment for 3 days. The apartment stay was extremely disapointing, Menton is beautiful and I will definitely be going back, but not to this apartment.

L'appartamento per essere un monolocale è molto spazioso, ottimo il panorama. Purtroppo, tenuto in condizioni pessime, arredamenti raccappezzati, divano letto pieno di peli animale e sporco, manca ogni confort dal phon per capelli ai ganci per gli accappattoi nel bagno. La cucina è tutta rotta e il laminato è tenuto con lo scotch, un gas non funzionante, i piatti tutti scheggiati, solo tre sedie con un tavolo rotondo piccolissimo in plastica. Un piccolo televisore appoggiato su un tavolino anch'esso in plastica e il televisore rivolto verso il basso. addirittura l'antenna è tenuta con lo scotch. SOLO LA TINTEGGIATURA E' VALIDA E BELLA. Fortunatamente l'agenzia viste le condizioni delle posate, tazze e materasso ci ha aiutato. Direi di aver pagato solo la posizione, a questo punto cara. E' un vero peccato avere un appartamento così bello e non provvedere a renderlo confortevole. Saremmo stati bene se non fosse stato per tutti questi disagi.
