Great family getaway

Great set up and great location. Close enough to local attractions while allowing you a quiet peaceful stay. The pool table and hot tub allowed for fun and relaxation in the evenings. Definitely will be visiting here again.

Neat place, great location

Happy; Overall would stay again; some of the dishes were put away dirty by cleaning service. Dish soap was provided but no sponge / scrubber. Price was fair.

Weekend at the GELK

Overall we had a great stay at the GELK, had a few little issues that we ran into, but the property team was quick to respond and solve the matter. It's a 3 level home with bedrooms on every level, spacious and allowed for all of us to hang out, cook, and interact.

Week long family fall break getaway!! Big house, confy beds & pillows,.. Lots of bedrooms and super amazing location. Everything worked on the property. Outside 2nd level back porch with a grill was our fav spot. Hot Tub was just perfect after a long day of biking and hiking

Great escape

My family really enjoyed staying at this property. Plenty of room for the 8 of us. We enjoyed playing a pool tournament, relaxing in the hot tub and the amount of appliances in the kitchen. Only thing I would do is have the tvs in the rooms updated. We like to watch tv while falling asleep and the tvs in the room are very small and very outdated. Other than that it was a perfect stay for us.

Perfect get away home & location

This home was perfect for my family of 8 and 2 dogs. We honestly never left the home the entire stay. The pool table and hot tub was a hit. Definitely recommend this property.

Very Nice and cozy cabin

Location was great and the cabin was fun. Kids loved the pool table and the warm fireplace. Would stay there again. Only issues were the temperatures in the lower half (master bed/bathroom) that got pretty cold at night - could have used some extra heat/blankets. Also the master bathroom shower was pretty loose and low - I am 6' tall and had to duck to get under the water. All in all a fun trip and good accommodations.

Wonderful Place

The cabin was a wonderful place for us to stay we all enjoyed our stay and we were not even too bummed out about staying inside during the rainy days. We had problems with the AC when we first arrived however, it was taken care of immediately with no troubles. Also the property manager was very nice and stayed in touch with us until the Air was fixed.

The home was just as pictured. It was very clean and well stocked. The property manager left us a small gift upon arrival even with something for our pets. The communication was very easy. We had a great time. We would definitely book the Gelk again. It was very spacious for our family of 7.

Relaxing weekend

The house was so comfortable for all of my family. We had a great Easter weekend. The wind was so bad we stayed inside but we’re happy. Fully stocked kitchen was so helpful. The only downfall for myself was that I was on crutches and the stairs were hard but booked your house because of the different levels. I loved the animals on the wall, great touch!

Man Cave.

The house was not very clean. Stained carpet, broken windows that were held together with tape, dirty dishes. The house is trying for a "Man Cave" look and feel so don't expect the niceties. We did not know that most of the surrounding area had been ravaged by wild fires, so were not expecting the constant burnt smell. The elevation was also a factor for us. We did not realize that it was over 7000 feet. So, breathing became an issue for us.

Large Clean Living Area, Killer Stairs

House was very clean and very large with enough seating for all and then some. Kitchen was well stocked with anything you need to cook and serve with. Only drawback for us was those stairs, you have to go up and down a set of 3 steps to get to bedrooms and bathrooms and then to get to kitchen and living area you have to go up a flight of very steep stairs. Probably works fine for younger adults but for us older people and one small child it was a challenge. We went and purchased a pet/child safety gate to put at the top of stairs to corral our grandchild for his safety. No way would I trust him on those stairs without someone right beside him.

Lots of room to spread out!

Our family loved staying here. The amenities were a great addition. We all enjoyed the pool table and hot tub and the vintage vhs player with a great selection of movies! Wow! The only things I think we would recommend is adding curtains or blinds to the front and side window. We love the view but felt like everyone could see in. Also, I am not sure if the front door ever locked. My husband is a carpenter and said that the receiving door was not bored out at all to receive the lock. He has been installing doors for over 35 years... Other than that it was a great place to stay and we would defiantly stay again! Thank you!
