We VRBO a lot, and communication with the property manager on the day of check-in important: directions, parking, early-check-in, door codes, etc. Although the property was immaculate, we couldn’t check in until 4pm despite it being evident that the unit was both vacant and already cleaned. I would entirely understand if the unit was occupied by cleaners rushing from a recent check out. Most frustrating was that the property manager, despite numerous calls and texts over several hours, did not reach out to give us the door codes until AFTER the time of check in. My family of three young kids and my wife and I were left waiting in the parking lot for nearly an hour waiting. Also of note, I accidentally found out that the door code to the unit directly below us was the same as our unit. That is odd. In addition, it is not ski in-ski out.
