EXCELLENT SEJOUR, CADRE IDYLLIQUE, HOTES ULTRA ACCUEILLANTS

Séjourner à la Bastide des Vasses est une véritable délectation ! Le cadre de la campagne du Lubéron est ici somptueux et le calme est de mise. Le gîte est magnifique et décoré avec un réel goût ! Il est même entièrement équipé et rien ne manque. Et c'est tellement rare que de ne pas le souligner serait navrant, le gîte est absolument nickel et propre à l'arrivée et les lits sont faits. La piscine de 20 m de long, au milieu des oliviers, de la vigne et au pied d'un superbe cerisier, promet de belles longueurs mais également une douce farniente. Nos hôtes, Léa et JJ, sont très accueillants, charmants et disponibles ! Nous recommandons cette destination et n'avons nous-mêmes qu'une hâte : y retourner !

Très beau sejour

Nous avons passé 2 excellentes semaines au sein de la Bastide des Vasses. Tout est fait pour se reposer dans un cadre idyllique. Concernant l appartement, il est très propre et extrêmement bien équipé , il ne manque rien ! . Nous avons bénéficié d un jardin privatif, nos 2 filles de 5 et 2 ans ont beaucoup apprécié . Possibilité de barbecue, table de jardin, transat. La piscine est superbe ! Merci à Léa et gigi, des hôtes discrets mais toujours là si besoin.

Nice property and pool, but not a good experience

The owners demanded a large and unexpected cash "damage deposit" upon our arrival. We did not have that much cash, so they eventually accepted all of the cash we had which was about half of the original demand. We got this back when we left, but not without the owners threatening to keep it and call the police if we protested. We lived with a rat in the house for 5 of the 7 days we stayed there. We saw the rat run into the kitchen and climb the counter on our 2nd night there. We chased it out and kept the doors closed from that point on. But it kept getting in and leaving it's droppings in all of the rooms, on the beds, in the bathroom, on the counters. Finally on the 5th day, the owner revealed that there was a hole in one of the loft rooms which gave the rat access to the apartment. After plugging that hole, the rat did not come in again. We had friends from California needing a place to stay for a night - we asked for permission to have guests - this was the response from the host: "see how you behaved when you arrived without the usual **** euro deposit guarantee we should have no reason to be nice in return... first for the apartment was rented for 2 people at the time of booking (this will generate for us additional costs too..) However considering that you paid an extra night and you leave on Sunday, we accept that your friends sleep ONE night here. Note we have no clean sheets/towels available today". The rat ran across our friend's arm and head at about 7:00am on the morning they were there. The owner's dog apparently found a bone in the driveway on the 5th day. They accused us of tossing the bone there and therefore attracting the rat -- we did not eat anything with bones during our stay and certainly would not throw our food waste into their driveway. We paid for 8 nights, but left after 7. I have rented properties from private owners for over twenty years and have never before felt so unwelcome or distrusted. We left the apartment cleaner that it was when we arrived and have since asked for a partial refund because of the rat. The only response we have received from the owners is this: "Remember we should have kept the deposit as suggested by vrbo...and we decided not to.. Regards JJ" And, there are not 3 bedrooms, there are 2 open loft sleeping areas and one room separated by curtains on the first floor.. It is essentially one large open space with 3 places to sleep - Two double beds and 2 singles.

We can agree on one point:receiving those 2 guest was definitely NOT A GOOD experience. 1.We request a safety deposit for the house,to be paid on arrival.It is clearly mentioned at the time of booking.So where is the fuss? Melanie and her friend refused to pay this deposit.."because getting this cash from ATM would cost them a bank commission". No comment... surely not the best way to start a good relationship with your owner. Unless you have something else in mind... 2.From day 1, Melanie and her friend mentioned they would stay only 7 days...while they had blocked the house and paid for 8 days.It is their choice.. 3.The house is fitted for 6 guests...and it was never mentioned before we should receive 5 extra guests one night...(and accomodate 7 pax) Any house owner will appreciate this kind of trick.. What would Melanie have written if we had refused their friend coming? 4.We are living in a virgin environment ,with organic culture and strictly NO pesticide/chemicals at miles around.So you can expect some countryside animals. In the past five years...no animal ever crept in..in any of our 2 houses. Keeping the garbage in the garden (to avoid bying a one euro garbage bag?),storing food unprotected in the kitchen ..and leaving windows and doors wide opened (in spite of our repeated warnings) while at the pool...you have the story. Who is at fault? We decided not to deduce the rodent buster bill from Melanies deposit. We should have..for agreeing again to be smart with them was considered a fault...and started a payback blackmailing game we refused to go in.. 5.The pictures of our rooms are clearly visible in the photo gallery. We are sorry Melanie and Katherine did not like their stay. However,we do not accept any responsibility in this events...and we consider we have been more than lenient. We should not have accepted their party to get in,without a proper deposit. This would have avoided all the trouble later on....

lieu enchanteur, propriétaires charmants et disponibles. Appartement tout à fait conforme, meublé avec goût, très bien équipé, très bien entretenu. Appartement complètement indépendant grand espace extérieur, une très belle piscine dans un cadre reposant. Nous reviendrons. Lieu à recommander chaleureusement. Annie
