Great stay at a lovely place

My husband and I and our 3 little ones had a fantastic time at this beautiful home. We were steps from the beach and easily moved back and forth between beach, pool, and home. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed upon our arrival. We'd definitely stay here again.

The best time!!!

We stayed here over Spring break which is always a mixed bag of weather but we had the absolute best time. The house was beautiful and all the outdoor areas provided such great spaces for everyone to relax. We had everything we needed for a great week. All the communication was great to allow us a very smooth week. The community pool was perfectly warmed. And the kids had a great time. We enjoyed all the beach walks and great local restaurants. We have already looked at when we come back! Thanks for taking care of this stressed out mom to have the most relaxing time.

Great get away over the holidays

House was perfect for our family. Gathering place for everyone and lovely master suite. We even enjoyed the rooftop deck with milder temps in December. Perfect place to watch the sunset. We will be back!

Great house

Enjoyed our stay here. Views of the beach are great and we enjoyed sunsets on the rooftop. The pool was close by and we used it often. Beach is very accessible.

Family holiday get together

We stayed in this property the first week of January and couldn't have been happier with our stay. There was communication with the property managers before our stay letting us know of favorite activities and restaurants we should try. The property itself is wonderful! It's a short walk to the beach, close to a walking/cycling path to the shops and restaurants and very clean and spacious. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation

We had 5 adults and 1 toddler. The house was a great fit. Easy access to the beach and the pool. And a great view to wake up to. Very peaceful and relaxing. The top open air deck was amazing at night for star gazing! The kitchen was very well stocked for all your cooking needs. We even had a seafood boil one night. Also, we had a couple of repair issues that were attended to very promptly. Carey Crosby with the Management co. was super helpful before and during our stay. Thanks for a great stay.

Fabulous location

Our stay in St. Simons was wonderful. With older children we loved the master bedroom that was separated from the first floor bedrooms by the 2nd floor kitchen and family room. Location was convenient to the beach and pool as well as to the many wonderful restaurants in the area. The home had sufficient kitchen supplies and the size was more than ample for a family of 5. We would most definately return in the future!

Perfect for two families right on the beach

There are basically 2 master bedrooms with a large main level. The ice maker in the wet bar was so helpful to have when filling up coolers. Would stay here again!

Great Property and Location - We Had 1 Problem Though

As advertised it is a very nice property and location. Lots of outdoor seating options and very light inside on all levels. Photos are accurate. So the problem.... The house is very wired as mentioned in the listing which is great.They have left pretty detailed instructions on operating each of the things throughout the house and I'm in software so fine. That's all great...unless Internet goes down or worse. In our case for the first 24 hours there was basically no electricity on the main floor front side of the house, where the Internet is located. It did appear this was more due to not regularly maintaining the wiring than a 1 time event as the wires had gone bad according to electrician and the box did seem pretty old. So upon moving in we spent hr or so trying to get television to come on. The wifi was working but a few other items didn't seem to be. I've since learned the elec was operating at a very low % when we got there so the dimmed lights and fact that we couldnt seem to get tv or music were because there wasn't enough electric juice and not because we weren't following the instructions. Next morning the electricity was completely out in that part of the house. No wifi means no (tv, music, Internet), water machine out and lights. One of our guests had work that morning and had tested wifi night before with full computer setup. Now that it was out she had to scurry to find library (closed) then Starbucks down street to spend the morning with a tablet to try to work. Maintenance came quickly who had to call outside electricians who also came within 2 hrs and got elec back up, maybe, by 1pm. BUT the big missing piece was this going out was like removing a car battery. Eveything gets reset. Elec strips were off, tv was looking for a wired connection, music system off, etc. They don't have inst for reconfiguring all of that and dont want us messing with the wires, which makes TOTAL sense given the complexity so someone needed to reset all of that. We didn't know it was all not working till got home that night after 9pm and not a 24 hr emer so not calling that plus they wouldn't have known either. Only there 3 nights so next day wasn't worth it. So aside from wifi we didn't get to use music, tv in any of the rooms at all during stay. Lights did dim again so may not be fully fixed. That and someone had dogs at one point and the landscapers arent cleaning out back so I had a lot of surprises to clean up when went to use the bbq out back

Exactly what we needed

The Property was fantastic and met all of out expectations. It was an excellent location, we were able to go to the beach at least 2x a day, which may have spoiled our 3 year old. The kitchen was wonderful, it had everything that we needed and a few things we didn't know we did, the water filter machine was a smart and often used addition.

Great location, older home

I booked a last second weekend trip at this property with my family. I have stayed at many similar homes up and down St. Simon over the past few years. Overall, it is difficult to beat the location of this home - it is steps away from a heated pool and the beach. It is clean, has a large kitchen, nice outdoor decks, and is overall a nice house. I would book it again. For the most part, the pictures tell the right story, but the main floor is much tighter than it looks - the furniture is big and the three spaces (kitchen, den, dining) are right on-top of each other. We only had a party of four, so it wasn't tight, but it could be with bigger parties. Overall, this is a 2000 re-model and it shows. The appliances are old and much of the styling feels late 90s / early 2000s with a few obvious recent upgrades (bathroom counters, paint on main floor, etc) I will also say, while I am not sure it matters, this house has a lot of oddities that I can't explain (no half bath on the main floor which means going downstairs to use the restroom, master bedroom separated from master bathroom, really right secondary bathrooms, oddly re-done master bath with walls that don't go to the ceiling, blinds missing on windows that need them, fans not positioned above beds, weird huge closet right in the middle of the master bathroom, anti-slip mats on stairs that don't work, elevator that doesn't appear to work, bunk bed ladder that is not safe, and someone got label-maker happy). Expect to go and up and down the stairs a lot. The views from the upper deck are really great. The views from the 3rd level are nice. The views from the 2nd (main) level are pretty much blocked by palm trees and/or the canopy structure by the pool. Not a huge deal, but at this price, somewhat silly. House includes an echo system connected to the speakers, good Wifi, Hulu on the TVs, washer + dryer, beach towels and chairs. The kitchen is well stocked with the necessary cooking utensils. We found extra trash bags and laundry detergent in the cabinets which was nice. All four bedrooms are nice (3 on level 1, 1 on level 3). One bedroom has a bunk bed, one has a queen, and two have a king size bed. You will find temperpedic mattresses on several of the beds. Overall, a nice house with some oddities.

Great views from master on 3rd floor

The frig door required waiting minutes before getting it open again the entire trip. Loved the freezer drawers and the two ice makers in the unit. We did miss not having a 1/2 bath on the main floor. Overall the unit was beautiful and designed well. Location was the best! The 24 hour contact was great.

The perfect beach house and perfect weather!

This beach home was just perfect for our family! The boys loves the bunk beds; however they are three and so they both slept on the bottom. We enjoyed doing early morning yoga on the very top porch and used the porch swing on the top level to get our baby girl to sleep each evening. Having access to the wagon, shovels and nets was so very helpful with three young ones. This cottage is a stone’s throw from The pool which made it nice when getting everyone and everything ready for the walk to the beach. The pool was clean and just the right size. September is just the perfect time of year to be at the beach. We thought this beach cottage was just perfect for our family. Thank you so much for allowing us to rent it for our family get away!

Nice St. Simons beach property

Family friendly beach house with easy access to beach and pools. Parking for 2 cars right in front. Despite 3 levels of living space, the european style elevator makes access to all living space easy even for those with difficulty climbing stairs. Only drawback is no bathroom on main level, but there are 3 full baths in house. Very well maintained and clean. Nice for special events or a family gathering.
