Loved the dock

Boys spent hours fishing and location/beach access was close by. Beds were comfy, but rugs need replacement as rolling up and a bit of tripping hazard. We had 2 showers with drainage issues while there but property management company came to solve. Wasn’t happy they entered house without telling us first though. Pool was nice but not happy with how property management company handled extra cost for heating the pool so opted not to do that. Didn’t miss it, honestly. House had all the amenities and our party enjoyed ourselves, particularly bc of the location.

Great Location!!!!

House was as advertised. Great layout. Beautifully decorated. Great amenities. Short walk to the beach. Only complaint was the ceiling fans in both of the master suites needed to be replaced. We would definitely go back.

enjoyable, large house nice spacing

great location to beach, restaurants. the house set up for large groups and offers space so everyone is not all over each other. ice machine in kitchen is great for daily coolers to the beach master bath could use some updating. would stay here again.

Great location

We loved the size and location of this house! The view of the lake was great and our family enjoyed the dock. The walk to the beach was even shorter than I expected!! We did have a few issues with the house. There were some toilets that were clogged upon arrival. The communication with rental company was great. It turned out to be a bigger problem than expected but they resolved it as quickly as they could. The grill upstairs was not clean but there was another grill near the pool that we could have used but decided not to. The refrigerator did not work on the roof and the ice maker was down. There were a few other issues and with a few adjustments to attention to detail this would have been a perfect stay. Again the contact with rental company was very nice and the check in and check out process was a breeze.

Blue Mountain Beach Vacation

This property was wonderful! We had a total of 12 with our group with ages ranging from a 2 year old, (3) 11-13 year old & 6 adults. We never felt crowded at this house & the location was great. The pictures on the site showing the property do it justice. It was exactly as advertised. Beware that it is 4 levels & has a lot of stairs but it worked for our group. We would definitely stay at this property again.

The home was very much to my liking. There was ample space for my family and we never felt on too of each other. Everything In the home was grade A and exceeded my expectations. I would certainly stay again. The management team was prompt and responsive to the few concerns we had. Would certainly rent this home again

Nice stay. Very beautiful

Went with a large young adult group during hurricane Sally. The property was exactly like listing. We thought it was well stocked with essentials (pans, towels, toilet paper etc.) The property manager was keeping us updated throughout the storm, which was really nice. We had to stay inside for a few days but it helped the property had lots to do. The only con about it was that the jacuzzis were turned off because of Covid. We were really looking forward to it. Love this property though.

Great Family Vacation

At Red Fish was perfect for our family. We visited with our adult children and their families. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and the main floor with kitchen, dining, and living was perfect for spending time together. The proximity to the beach was great, the roof top terrace was a nice place to hang out with beautiful views and a great breeze. We loved spending time together in the pool, and the neighborhood was very nice. At Red Fish was a terrific value for our family vacation.

Better than the listing!

We had a fantastic stay! The property was perfect for our Labor Day weekend with a large family. It was a 3 minute walk to a beautiful beach that wasn’t crowded, the house had ample space and a perfect layout for couples with the teenagers on a separate floor. We’d definitely book it again next year! Thank you

Family retreat

Our family of 15 vacation. The house size was perfect. The weather was 60-70, so having the heated pool was a great success for the 8 kids, (and adults). 3-4 minute walk to the beach, a couple times a day is great. The kitchen was well equipped for all of our cooking needs. 5-10 minutes to the grocery store. 2 gas grills were also nice to have .

Great house!

Perfect layout for a large group. Large living areas upstairs and down. The pool is the perfect size. We had 10 adults and 4 children and never felt crowded. The bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable. Just a couple of things to note. There are lots of stairs in this house. Elevator is only available for the owners. The walk to the beach is fairly short, but there are 40 stairs to get down to the beach. Not a problem for the young ones, but some of us older folks had a serious workout!

The third floor living area does not cool down during the day. WiFi is available but there is VERY little bandwidth. Do not count on gaming systems or streaming movies. Our phones barely got a connection. The kitchen has minimal equipment but we got by.

Far exceeded my expections!

My family of 8 adults and 7 children ages 8yr to 1 yr just spent a week at At Redfish. From the detailed description of the house, I knew it would be a good vacation home but the house and property far exceeded out expectations. The bedrooms were all very spacious. Two of the bedrooms on the second level share a bathroom but doors in the hall can easily close off that area to make it private. All four of our couples had plenty of space to retreat to and the living area and kitchen on the third floor were more than enough for our whole gang. There is one half bath off the living room and another one off the pool area that were so convenient. The pool was a good size. It was about a blocks walk to the beach access which led to the most beautiful beach that was unbelievably not crowded. We have found the perfect VRBO for our family beach trips and will be renting this property many times in the future.

Great location and amenities.

We had 13 family members stay at Redfish. The pool was a lifesaver due to the double red flags for the first 3 days of the trip—thanks Alberto. Overall the house was great. Lots of space and places to spend time as a big group or sneak away for some peace and quite.

Great for large groups or multiple families

We spent Thanksgiving week at this house with 6 adults and 3 young children and it was a wonderful experience. The 3 levels allowed each family to have their own space yet the living/dining area on the 3rd floor was large enough for all of us to eat and engage in activities together. If you have a toddler, keep in mind that the staircases are open. The pool was a hit with the grandkids however it was not working when we arrived. It was determined the heater needed to be replaced so we lost about 3 days of swim time, but the Ocean Reef folks were very gracious about making it right financially. The pool is a nice size, with easy access for older folks with a nice spa area. Bring your own pool toys; there were a couple boogie boards and beach chairs, but no noodles or such. The house is located in a nice residential area just a 5 min walk to the beach. Five cars can easily park off street. Only 5 min to the Publix and 10 to the Walmart. The beds were comfortable with nice linens (tho we had "crumbs" in one upon arrival). Good water pressure in the showers with ample and nice towels. Elevator worked great. The kitchen had a nice convection oven and gas cooktop. The refrigerator was large with chilled water and an icemaker with an additional ice maker under-counter. If you plan to eat out most of the time this kitchen is well appointed. Lots of plates, silverware, cereal bowls and large matched set of wine glasses. If you plan to cook a lot while you are there (we did, including Thanksgiving dinner) you should know that like all rentals it lacks a good, non-stick fry pan, tho there were adequate other size pots and pans, bakeware and colanders. No juice glasses and only a small # of mismatched water glasses. Salt and pepper shakers were the only condiments. Sooo, bring your own coffee filters, dish soap, dish scrubbers, pot holders and dish towels...they provide a couple, but not enough if you cook a lot. They did provide paper towels, trash bags, DW soap and ample TP. We would definitely choose this rental again if coming the this area with a large group. It is uniquely suited for multiple families, is well maintained, and the rental agency was responsive during business hours. And it was a great off-season value!

Tons of space and a short walk to the beach

Our party of 13 (and one infant) had more than enough space in this beautiful home. The location is supreme! All the greatest restaurants on 30a are within a 15 minute drive, and the walk to the beach was very doable even on the hottest days in Late July. I would recommend bring a cart to help take all of your chairs and toys to the beach. Purhaps the greatest and most surprising aspect of this vacation was the emptiness of the beach! I am not sure if schools were back in session, but we never had anyone closer than 50 yards on either side of us at the beach. This allowed us to spread out, play games, and truly have a stress free week. I think this deep part of the Blue Mountain Beach is very residential with very few rental homes so it was nice to have that kind of privacy on a public beach access. On the negative side the description of the home greatly over states the ice machines. We were expecting three ice machines but the rooftop ice machine was missing, the basement ice machine was broken and very loud (we called maintenance but they basically said it needed to be replaced which didn't happen while we were there), and the kitchen ice machine had very low output so it was good for drinks once a day. So we managed but I wouldn't rely on the convenience of those ice machines. Also, the pool was nice but due the heavily wooded area tended to have lots of bugs in it. That didn't stop us from enjoying it anyway. This house was a hit overall and just added to the excitement and fun of the week. You should rent this house if you have a big group!

Loved the location. .1 mile to beach. Beautiful on the inside with a lot of space. Huge deck on top

We had 3 families for total of 13 people. Plenty of room. Bedrooms are spacious. There wer 2 sets of washer and dryers. There is an elevator. There is a pool table on bottom floor. Several balconies. The top floor deck is HUGE. Pics do not do it justice. There is a fridge, grill and sink up there also with part of the deck covered with furniture. The view is perfect for picture taking. The walk to the beach and to get ice crew was very short. The house has 2 grills on 3rd and 4th floor. Pool was little small but our kids loved it especially when double red flags were up and couldn't get in ocean. Had everything you would need to cook or grill out. Kitchen and living area were larger than the pics make them look. The fridges on 3 of the 4 floors came in handy also. Overall we loved it and would recommend

good customer service, nice location

Our week's stay at "At Redfish" began a little on the bumpy side, but after speaking with David in the Ocean Reef office on Monday, most issues were dealt with speedily. The home is about 2 blocks from the beach. It has a lovely view of Redfish lake out back. The house itself could use a little TLC to update it (i.e. paint, refinishing, new dishwasher), but it was roomy and comfortable for our party of 9 adults and 3 children under 3.

Great house

Great stay. My group consisted of 5 families and 8 kids under the age of 7 and the house was spacious enough for the whole group. An icemaker is always nearby since one serves every level including the rooftop deck, which is exactly one floor higher than the elevator goes. Exit the elevator on the third floor and you'll find the great room, with a kitchen, dining room, and living room. 10 foot ceilings on every floor make the house seem even roomier than it already is. The large pool is convenient for days when 2 minutes to the beach is too far away. I'd guess that the deep end of the pool is 5 and a half feet deep rising to 3 and a half on the shallow end. The roof top deck offers a good view of adjacent Big Redfish Lake along with a token sliver view of the Gulf. On the negative side, we did see a few large cockroaches in the bathroom, and the bathrooms weren't stocked with the advertised 5 towels. However the towel situation along with a plumbing back-up and another problem with the front door were quickly handled after a quick phone call. (These problems were handled on a Sunday, which was impressive) Our bug situation wasn't reported; its Florida and the house is next to a lake, so bugs are expected. It should also be noted that the pool is mosquito central after dark, but the rooftop is a good bug-free alternative. All in all the positives greatly outweigh the negatives and I would definitely recommend this place, especially for large families or large groups.
