Disaster/nightmare. No information provided on condo operations. Walked into puddles of Water and falling bathroom ceiling. Bathroom ceiling light inoperable. No bathroom exhaust fan. Still no bathroom privacy curtain as previously noted in Feb and May of 2019. Bathroom vanity water damaged. No transition into bathroom (stubbed toe first hour) bathroom pocket door falling apart as previously noted May 2019, condo located right next to four way intersection (noise) up stairs occupant coughing and running all night, water heater in bedroom closet clicks all night, multiple window blinds missing slats large viewing holes, pocket doors not painted, furniture is disgusting dirty and stained, no toaster, Fire alarm pulled at 2:30 am by drug addict wondering in front of condo. Vacated 8 days early for fear and safety reasons, rebooked alternate location for more out of pocket with out any reimbursement. Beware, Read previous renter’s comments.

This review does not accurately reflect the circumstances of this stay. The guest requested and was granted a two-hour early check-in. During that early arrival window a ceiling leak from another unit was discovered. Maintenance arrived within minutes, the leak was stopped immediately, and the area was fully cleaned and remediated prior to the official 4 PM check-in time. Our staff confirmed with the guest that the unit was acceptable before leaving. The ceiling was professionally repaired the following day. Check-in instructions and property information were provided in advance and were used by the guest to access the unit. All essential services remained fully functional throughout the stay. The bathroom has four working vanity lights and a frosted window for ventilation and privacy. The fire alarm incident referenced involved a trespasser who briefly entered the property and was immediately removed by law enforcement. This was an isolated event and not related to the unit. After occupying the property for nine days, the guest contacted the platform requesting a refund without raising additional concerns directly to us. The guest remained until day 18 of a 28-day reservation before choosing to vacate early and again requesting reimbursement. We stand by our listing and our prompt response to concerns raised directly with us.

Great spot!

I enjoyed my stay. The location was great. Its very convenient to I-275 & downtown, and Vinoy Park where I attended the Reggae Rise Up.

Worked for Me

The property was adequate for what I needed. I just needed a place to stay in a solid area while I was at a Ceramics Workshop. If you are looking for a vacation spot-this is not it! Whoever lives upstairs stomps around all night. The walls are quite thin, you hear every sneeze and cough. The place is rehabbed, but whoever owned it previously must have been a smoker. You cannot get that smell out of the walls no matter how much you paint.

Very Disappointing!

We are a retired couple from England. We booked this apartment with the hopes that our friend, who lives locally could view it or at least the location with a drive by. Our friend has asked for the physical address of the property numerous times. It was never provided. We arrived after a long flight and we were disappointed at the location and the condition of the apartment. The bathtub was dirty, the stove top was greasy, inadequate supplies in the kitchen, only 1 teaspoon, only 4 cups (had to wash dishes and cups and spoons after each use), only 5 hangers in the closet, unfinished bathroom door, there was no cable TV, only apps that required accounts to log in. Even after they brought in Roku, we still could only watch a couple of channels as we did not have sign in information for the apps necessary.These are only a few of the issues we encountered. We spoke extensively to the property manager about our concerns and desire to move and obtain a refund. We explained that aside from the multiple issues with the condition of the property, the location is not what we expected. The Property Manager kept referring to the map on the listing which only showed the general area. Prior to arriving, numerous attempts were made to reach the owner via the phone number on the listing and email. Finally had to call VRBO and they called Owner/Property Manager. This was the only way we were able to speak to someone associated with the property. We were also informed that the arrival instructions would be sent out 24 hours prior to arrival. We never received it. The Property Manager was not helpful nor didn't care at all that we were not happy. and said he didn't care if we left a bad review, he wasn't going to refund our money. We asked for a refund and felt that since it was high season, they could have rented it out to someone else. Property Manager promised that the property owner would come by to talk to us and we waited around all afternoon, never came. Property owner was going to call us, never called. Now all of a sudden the physical address is now displayed in the listing! I'm sure VRBO can let us know when it was inserted in the listing as it wasn't there before. We found other accommodations and moved out on the second day. Absolutely horrible experience especially coming from such a long way.

Terrible

We travel a great deal and have never had a problem before. From the pictures and descriptions we thought we would be happy. The opposite happened. When we got there we did not even take our bags out of the car. We decided to look at it first. Walked in and it smelled of cigarette smoke. Yes the kitchen is updated but boy the had a really good photographer . There would be know way that we could stay there. Especially being allergic to cig. smoke. On top of that my wife would not feel safe there alone. No where to sit outside either. It is not a place to go and relax. Tried to explain to the host that we would not be able to stay there. Hoping that he would charge us for only one night and give us a refund. NO GO. Very unwilling to do anything. You know the saying "you can polish a turd but its still is a turd" That is this place.

Cozy and close to where we needed to be

The condo is a small 1 bedroom place, but it was perfect for what we needed. The location was good; just a short walk to some great restaurants. Overall, my husband and I adored it.

Clean, newly refurbished 1-bedroom

Unit was very clean and newly renovated. However, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and the bathroom pocket door was in very poor condition. Also, the kitchen could be slightly better stocked, as the pots and pans were quite old and of poor quality. The unit is a 5-minute drive from downtown and there is a nice Publix market close by. So it's well located contingent on what you're looking to do while in St. Pete. Price was pretty good, particularly as I needed a flexible rental (i.e. outside a standard calendar week). Overall, we were satisfied, so I would give it about 3.5 stars.
