Brian and Melissa are amazing. The property is a resort. What a perfect place for our family reunion. Walking distance to town and the beach. The family loved hanging around the pool during the day and we all enjoyed watching movies in the theater room in the evenings. We can’t wait for our next visit.

Thank you Eric for this great review. Hopefully you got to see the local Bald Eagles who are nesting nearby this year. Such an iconic bird. Glad to hear our newly remodeled media room was a hit with your group! Sincerely, Brian and Melissa

Loved the property and the location - close to town and to the Beach Park. The pool and jacuzzi were great. Plenty of room for our family reunion of 5 families - 14 people ranging in age from 1 to 78. The kitchen and bbq had all the equipment and dishes we needed.

Quite a spectacular house. It was purposefully designed for hosting an event or getting a group of friends or family together. The entire house is centered around a large pool, and there are multiple seating, dining and entertaining areas, all with their own vibe. The kids can hang out in the plush media room, or play pool in the game room while adults gather elsewhere (or vice vice versa!) We had lots of space for game night after skiing all day, and the whole house is well equipped, including lots of kitchen tools, plenty of serving items, two dishwashers, two sets of washer/dryers, and I think 3-4 refrigerator/drink cooler fridges! We'll definitely come back again if it's available!

Amazing home with everything we needed, in a great Sandpoint location for whenever we did venture out! We booked Newport Plums Estate for our 50th wedding anniversary weekend to be together with our kids and grandkids. Hosts Brian and Melissa went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and special. We highly recommend this venue! Outstanding!!

Multi family dwelling

We were able to house our large family from all over the US comfortably in one place that had more than enough room for our reception which was attended by over 30 people. The house was near the lake and walking distance to downtown. The property manager Mellisa was the best property manager I’ve ever dealt with. She was available 24 hours a day. The house was perfect for family pictures also. I can’t wait to visit again in the summer to use the pool.

Brian, Melissa and their house are all 5 star!

Amazing stay and huge thank you to Brian and Melissa! We had another house booked for our group of 20 people that got flooded just days before our trip. Luckily we found Brian and Melissa house - The Newport Plums Estate and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. Honestly I think it was meant to be as their house was much better. Amazing location right in Sandpoint, the place is a beautiful castle, and the hot tub is the nicest 10 person tub I have ever seen. We look forward to hopefully staying again. Book this house, you will not be disappointed!

The home was beautiful & perfectly equipped. The location was just a short walk to town.

Brian & Melissa were the perfect hosts, always available upon request. They greeted us & showed us through the house upon arrival. The weather was at a 30 year low which caused a few challenges as to proper heating in some of the rooms. An outside pipe burst two days before departure so hot water was an issue. However, we had a wonderful time occupying ourselves in the game room, watching sports & movies on the many tvs as well as family game time.

Thank you for your input and nice review. The winter weather God here in Sandpoint must have been a little upset at us during your stay. It is very rare to get temperatures as low as we had during your stay. Sandpoint winters bring snow but mild tempertures. We greatly appreciated you letting us know of the issue that the extreme cold caused right away i We have an 80 gallon commerical water heater that has always delivered and brought us and our guests plentiful hot water. Because of you keeping us timely informed our plumber was able to come and locate the broken pipe and fix it prior to the next guests arriving. We cannot even begin to express how appreciative we are for you timely bringing the issue to our attention so that we could fix it before the next family arrived for their stay. Thank you and we hope that you will visit us again. Melissa and Brian

Great for Large Groups with Something for Everyone!

Our extended family of 13, ages 6 - 60(ish) stayed here in July 2019. We had a great time in Sandpoint and really enjoyed our stay at Newport Estates. The house was a perfect size for us and having the heated pool, hot tub, games room and theatre room definitely added to our stay. Everyone had something to enjoy that suited their tastes. The location was fantastic! Close to the lake and in walking distance of downtown Sandpoint where we shopped, took in the fireworks (Wow! What a show Sandpoint puts on July 4th!), parade and City Beach. The grounds out front of the estate are also beautiful. We did family photos there and the setting was gorgeous. The large kitchen area with dual dishwashers, fridges plus drink cooler and ice maker made it so easy for us to manage our large group's needs without feeling crowded or like we had to limit the amount food or drinks that we brought in. Having 2 laundry areas also came in very handy. This was our first visit to Sandpoint and absolutely loved this gem of a place. There is so much to do and our only regret was not having more time to take it all in. We golfed the Idaho Club (so serene!), took in Silverwood/Boulder Creek Adventure Park (amazing time and barely any line ups), Schwitzer Mountain (could have spent a whole day here had we known how much there was to do before we went), shopping, shopping, shopping in downtown Sandpoint, pool days when it was a little cooler and City Beach when it was hot. There was so much we didn't get to do, nature touring - hiking/biking near Sandpoint, shopping in Coure d'alene, horse adventures, and more time taking in the water sports on the lake. The weather didn't co-operate or we would have taken in the lake more. Fortunately, there is so much to do in and around Sandpoint that we never ran out of things to do, even on the cooler days. If you've never been to Sandpoint it is definitely worth the trip and we would recommend staying at Newport Estates.

Great location, plenty of space, lots of helpful supplies!

Our group of 9 along with our two local friends had enough room to gather, and enough room to do remote work. We much appreciated that we did not have to buy dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry soap, a sponge, etc. Loved the gas range, 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, 2 washers and 2 dryers, 2 refrigerators, etc. One of the reasons we chose this property was the location. Even though we had multiple rental cars, we often enjoyed walking to restaurants and shops. Oh! And the hot water was always nice and hot! Never ran out even while everyone was showering, laundry was washing, etc. We would defintely stay here again! Thank you Melissa and Brian!

Incredible property in downtown Sandpoint. Our large group of adults included a mix of adventurous skiers & non-skiers. Golden Anniversary celebration

We had four generations of family gathered together to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It was a blast. The accommodations were wonderful and provided space for all of us to gather together as well as find some quiet spots to escape. The pool and hot tub were a huge success and provided a source of many hours of enjoyment. The pool room and parlor were great for some evening hours of music and billiards. Everyone had a wonderful time and we may have to consider a return visit in the future

Family Reunion

Very large house with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Great pool and great hot tub. Smoke was heavy but we made the best of it. We did a lot of activities around Sandpoint. Cooked several meals together. We were there 10 days. Jackie, the property manager, helped us out a few times when we needed something and very responsive . I gave her a list of some maintenance items that needed attention. The property is not new. But most everything is functioning, just a little dated.

Wedding and family gathering

We had an immediate family wedding and a party the next day for friends. The house was lovely and accommodated us perfectly. The yard was made to look great for the wedding and any problems we had were resolved immediately. Our guests brought children and they thoroughly enjoyed the pool as did we all the rest of the week. The game room was a big hit too. We closed everything down at 10pm per instructions which was nice for us too since family members spent days jet skiing, paddle boarding and kayaking. Thank you to all who helped us to enjoy our stay, our wedding a nd our family reunion.

Absolutely beautiful & magical!

Our stay at Newport Plum Estates was so amazing! We had such an awesome stay with our sweet family & than had our very magical, romantic wedding reception by the pool! Jackie the house manager totally rocked & was the coolest, most down to earth estate manager we have ever worked with & we have stayed at many vrbo's over the years! She would immediately get back to us every time we had a question or needed to talk! Brian & Melissa the owners were very awesome too! The estate is absolutely beautiful & great for an awesome stay with family & an incredible wedding venue! There is a pool so children need to be watched very carefully for safety! The beautiful memories we made here we will cherish forever & we are so blessed & thankful!

One of the things we love most about Newport Plums Estate is its location in the peaceful southernmost part of South Sandpoint, where our neighborhood meets beautiful Lake Pend Oreille.

Unlike properties closer to downtown, our estate enjoys a wonderfully serene setting, removed from the traffic and activity of downtown Sandpoint, yet close enough that you can walk to its many excellent restaurants, pubs, breweries, shops, and entertainment. For us, this is truly the best of both worlds: the tranquility of a quiet residential neighborhood combined with the convenience and charm of one of North Idaho's most beautiful small towns.

Our neighborhood is also a wonderful place to experience the natural beauty and wildlife of North Idaho. Throughout the summer, we regularly see majestic bald eagles soaring overhead. We're just around the corner from Sandpoint's beautiful waterfront parks and beaches, including Memorial Park, where you can launch your boat and head out onto the spectacular waters of Lake Pend Oreille.

We especially love this location because it is equally appealing in winter. For families and friends visiting Schweitzer Mountain Resort, staying at Newport Plums Estate means enjoying wonderful days skiing and snowboarding while having all the dining, nightlife, and entertainment options of downtown Sandpoint available in the evenings.

After a day exploring the lake, enjoying downtown, or skiing Schweitzer, you can return to the peace and privacy of our estate, relax in our luxurious covered outdoor spa, enjoy a movie in our newly remodeled private theater, or simply spend time together.

What makes our particular South Sandpoint neighborhood so special is that you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of a secluded luxury estate while being within walking distance of downtown, moments from the lake, and a convenient drive from Schweitzer.

It's the combination of tranquility, natural beauty, and convenience that makes this such a special place to stay.

Our journey to Sandpoint began in 2011, when we became investors in The Idaho Club development. What started as an investment introduced us to a place and a lifestyle that we absolutely fell in love with.

We quickly discovered that Sandpoint offers an extraordinary combination of natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and small-town charm. With Schweitzer Mountain Resort offering incredible skiing in the winter and magnificent Lake Pend Oreille providing endless opportunities for boating, swimming, and enjoying the outdoors in the summer, we found a lifestyle here that was difficult to match anywhere else.

Over the years, Sandpoint has become a very special place for us, and one of our greatest pleasures is sharing it with others.

We genuinely enjoy hosting guests and helping them discover everything this wonderful area has to offer. Whether you're planning a family ski vacation at Schweitzer, a summer getaway on the lake, or simply a gathering of friends and family, we love helping our guests plan memorable experiences.

That passion is also what inspired us to create Newport Plums Estate. We have invested considerable thought, care, and resources into designing and remodeling both the main residence and the separate guesthouse to make the property especially well suited for families and larger groups traveling together.

From the private theater and nostalgic 1950s-themed game room to the swimming pool, luxurious covered outdoor spa, and inviting gathering spaces, our goal has been to create much more than simply a beautiful place to stay.

We wanted to create a home where families and friends can spend meaningful time together, enjoy everything Sandpoint has to offer, and make memories that last a lifetime.

We look forward to welcoming you to Newport Plums Estate and sharing with you the place we've come to love so much!

この宿泊施設の特徴

From the moment we discovered Newport Plums Estate, we knew we had found something special. What captivated us was the extraordinary privacy of the property. Surrounded by towering evergreen trees, the estate feels like its own secluded private resort, yet it is within walking distance of downtown Sandpoint and moments from Lake Pend Oreille.

Over the years, we have devoted considerable time, creativity, and resources to transforming the estate into a one-of-a-kind vacation destination unlike anything else in Sandpoint.

At the heart of the property is our Junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, surrounded by beautiful landscaping and expansive outdoor entertaining areas. We've also created an exceptional covered outdoor spa experience, featuring a luxurious stainless steel Jacuzzi that guests can enjoy year-round, including after a day skiing at Schweitzer Mountain Resort.

Inside, we've designed the home around entertainment, comfort, and bringing people together. Our newly remodeled private movie theater offers an incredible cinematic experience, while our nostalgic 1950s-themed game room provides another wonderful place for families and friends to have fun together.

The estate is also wired for music throughout, allowing guests to enjoy their favorite music in multiple living and entertaining spaces. Unique architectural details, beautiful doorways, and expansive folding glass doors connecting the interior to the pool deck create a wonderful indoor-outdoor living experience.

What truly sets this house apart is the combination of its remarkable privacy, spacious accommodations, exceptional amenities, and convenient South Sandpoint location.

Our goal was never simply to create another vacation rental. We wanted to create a private luxury resort experience where families and friends could enjoy unforgettable stays and make memories that last a lifetime.
