We spent my 70th and my wife's 62nd birthdays at Sunset Cove, together with all our kids and grandkids. The house was perfect--GREAT views, plenty of room, with all the group having all the privacy they wanted. The furniature and all the appliances, glass and dishwear were great, with utensils as good as those we have at our home. There were plenty of comfortable, king sized beds, and towels sheets etc, and the double set of washer dryers worked very well.
The owners had prepared the place very well, and were willing to respond to any issue that might have arisen (none did). (I should have requested a gas grill, because I dont like grilling with charcoal--but I am sure the owners would have furnished one if I had asked). They were very gracious in letting us put our bags in the house before the 4 PM check in time.
The location is perfect, with easy access to the beach, yet far enough from the center of town to be quiet and restful when we so chose.
The sole negative was the weather, which did not get above 70 degrees during our two week stay. Despite this, the water wasnt too cold, and the kids actually spent more time at the beach than they usually do when we are down in Mexico.
We were all very pleased with the time we spent in seaside, and we visited all the local amusement areas (the younger ones especially liked the bumper cars, the arcade and the aquarium). They also found that great candy store very appealing, especially the candy apples and the taffy.
As for restaurants, we went to several and enjoyed them all, but Seaside isnt really a town for foodies.
The local swimming pool was fun, but it was only open for kids swimming from 1 to 3:15, so it could increase its hours and that would be helpful during colder weather.
We were very pleased with our first use of VRBO!
