Lovely historical neighborhood! The unit is full of charm and was well appointed for our stay. The spiral staircase is charming but a bit of a climb, so be careful if you have mobility issues. Loved the privacy, the courtyard, and the beautiful neighborhood.

This property is quintessential Charleston and an historic building set off the street with a courtyard. Exceptional location but very quiet! It would not be a good choice for people with mobility issues because of the spiral stairs but it was so fun for us! It really felt like we had a unique accommodation experience! An older building but had everything we needed.

House was amazing! Walked in and was taken back by the beauty. Phillip and Judy know how to welcome. Muffins, juice coffee, tangerines, and wine. Thank you! Wrote in the book and was able to read others notes from the past. We will stay here again!!! I love that it is a 1/2.

Had a “girls trip “ with a dear friend to Charleston. The cottage was so charming and we took advantage to soak in the historic feel of the cottage and the beautiful courtyard. We did fine but would be helpful if owner made note of the steep circular staircase. We didn’t even attempt to take our suitcases to the upper bedroom. If someone was compromised with walking they would not have access to the bathroom and bedroom. We loved our visit and loved being in the heart of the historic district.

What a charming piece of Charleston that the Middletons are sharing with their rental units. We were excited upon arrival, and then after hearing the history of the city and how kitchen houses became, we were in complete wonderment with the pice of history that we were staying in. Thank you for opening your hearts and home for travelers worldwide.

This is an ideal location to explore historic Charleston! Only 1 1/2 blocks from Broad St, and a 15-20 minute to nearly everything, including carriage rides, marina, shops, and amazing restaurants. This is a perfect spot for active couples who want to explore the area. The hosts were very accommodating, considering our change of travel plans due to airlines and weather. We would definitely stay here again!
