Casa de Playa - Indian Rocks Beach, FL
So many cleaning protocols that are CONTINUOUS at Casa de Playa, but nothing ever changes. This is not the first time we have commented on the lack of cleanliness in staying at several different units in this complex over the past 8+ years.
At check-in we gave the cleanliness of the unit a 2. Instead of someone calling to discuss...we got the "standard" email, stating how sorry Vacasa was that the cleaning was not satisfactory...and to call. Someone should have called us, not the other way around.....
The thought of continuing to accept this as the norm, is just not right. A few examples:
1). All air conditioning/furnace filters are caked with dust and are disgusting.
2). We needed to tighten one of the toilet seats and in doing so lifted the white tab of the seat and discovered filth and feces from prior tenants. So gross!!!
3). The toilet brushes sitting in each bathroom are sitting in a pool of drainage from the last cleaning... unacceptable!
4). Both bathroom doors were stained and could use a great cleaning.
5). Behind the master bedroom headboard, you can see where the floor or mopboards were not cleaned and were caked with dust. We've seen the same in other units as well. Beds are not pulled out and cleaned under!!
6). There was a floor fan in the master bedroom closet that was also caked with dust and so disgusting! We actually set it out by our front door the entire week, as we did not want to hang our clean clothes anywhere near it.
7). The garbage container on our patio was not cleaned or washed out and was full of small black ants.
8). All walls and ceilings in both bedrooms need to be dusted. You can see the dust caked on the walls, vents and ceiling fans.
9). On Wednesday we inquired about the pool being cleaned as it was full of sand. We were told it was cleaned on Tuesday. Many residents around the complex we're stating that the pool was not cleaned on Tuesday. We finally saw someone cleaning it on Friday... the day before we left!
10). The service fee that is charged is for what??? We were told to cover the 24 hour guest services team. Who wants to have the team come back in and re-clean what should have been cleaned in the first place once you're all moved in for the week!?, ESPECIALLY, when you're already paying for a cleaning fee!!
We'll see what happens! Awaiting a call back to discuss further!
