We have now stayed at Pier 57 two different times. Each time in different units. When it comes to Pier 57, most units are identical so the things to look out for are the location/views as well as the floor you want to be on.
The reason you stay here is for the rooftop pool. Pictures don't do it justice and the sunsets from the rooftop pool are incredible. The property is one of the newer ones in PVR and sits in an amazing location close to lots of eateries.
Be warned, as many other reviews have pointed out, on weekends, the music from the clubs is extremely loud but this is the reason you stay in the hear of Old PVR. Bring some ear plugs if you are going to sleep early.
It doesn't appear like this property has been reviewed before, so here's a few things that could be done by the owner to improve the stay.
1. Kitchen needs a few more things like sharp steak knives, Spatulas for cooking, measuring spoons and cups.
2. Cleaning supplies. There's liquid soap for dishes but if you make a mess anywhere in the condo, there's nothing to clean with. We also brought in sand from the beach once and we couldn't sweep it up.
Finally, I won't mark negative on the reviews for this, but for us, the bed in the master bedroom was horrible to sleep in and we never slept well the whole stay. Keep in mind the "King" size bed runs on the short side so if you are 6 feet or taller you will have a hard time sleeping. Also, not sure if it the mattress is low quality or the pillows are bad but both of us woke up each morning with aches all over our bodies. I think pillows with a little bit more support will go a long way. Also maybe a heavier comforter option would help also. Even a memory foam topper on the mattress would go a long way. We couldn't wait to get home to get a good night of sleep unfortunately.
Overall it's an amazing property with great views. It's on one 6th floor out of 7 and you can still hear the music very loud, which doesn't bother us.
