We had a truly wonderful stay! The house is beautiful, comfortable and perfectly suited for a relaxing getaway. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The space is thoughtfully furnished and full of charm with plenty of natural light and peaceful surroundings. We love the beautiful kitchen and all its amenities which making cooking and gathering the family, a joy.The location is ideal—quiet and private, yet close to the beach and great hiking trails. We especially enjoyed the views from the balconies and garden.Fiona and Ocean are wonderful hosts and highly responsive and helpful!Overall, this home exceeded our expectations and we extended our stay.

Gorgeous views but

The positives: gorgeous views and great spots to sit outside as the direction of the sun changes. A large nice hot tub. Large and lovely master bedroom suite that has both a fireplace and a small AC. An attractive guest bathroom. Large spacious rooms overall. The negatives: the plumbing, a very steep driveway making it imperative to have a front or 4 wheel drive car, no place to walk safely from the house without a car. Sadly, it is not a house for anyone with mobility constraints. if you are happy driving, the location is terrific. And again, the views are fabulous.

Wonderful stay in Santa Barbara

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Fiona’s and Ocean’s beautiful house in Santa Barbara. We couldn’t have asked for nicer hosts, a more comfortable house, or a more pleasant experience. Hopefully we’ll be able to be back soon!

Quintessential Santa Barbara Home

If you're looking for the quintessential Santa Barbara vacation home, look no further. The house is surrounded by lush gardens and beautifully situated in the hills, where we enjoyed not only lovely ocean views but both sunrises and sunsets! We especially loved waking up to the ocean view from the master bedroom. We found the home welcoming, comfortable, and, unlike many rentals, artfully decorated. The hosts are charming and warm, and after our 5-week stay, we feel as though we have made wonderful new friends!

It's utterly beautiful! We wake in the morning and just go ahhhh... We step out on the decks and are continually captivated by the beauty of our home. We are health enthusiasts and have created our oasis to be just that. An outside infrared sauna under our giant pepper tree, to sweat out the impurities. Fountains and gardens and views and privacy – just lovely! All the walls of our home inside and out are covered with natural old-world Venetian plasters, stucco and limewash. Walls that are natural and actually breathe. We love color, and as you can see in the pictures, we brought a whole slew of them into our perfect retreat property. We welcome you to come and experience our taste of ‘wonder’ and comfort when you come to Santa Barbara. We just had a recent guest from a competing website that had to say... 'Fiona's Santa Barbara Hillside Oasis is spectacular in every way. The posted description is accurate, but does not begin to describe the beauty of the home- the architecture, the decor, the landscaping, the neighborhood; the house is 5 star hotel clean, comfortable with silky sheets and fluffy absorbent towels, lovely scented body wash is available in all bathrooms. It is so pleasurable to sit outside on the patio or balconies, and just take in the splendor of the terraced gardens on the property. The house feels quite remote but is only a 5 minute drive to great hiking, the best beaches and the downtown Santa Barbara shopping and dining district. Fiona was wonderful to work with prior to our booking, providing prompt and comprehensive responses to our many questions. The welcome basket...'
