Make sure you are aware the stairs are steep and parking is a little tricky- but the condo is Lovely ! Really modern and super cozy too ! Location is amazing too !

The apartment is beautiful, you could not have a better location you are in the centre of Nelson accessible to coffee shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend it to everyone who is healthy and strong. My husband and I are both retired, I had extreme difficulty accessing the apartment as there are so many stairs that are steep, I have heart and lungs problems. My husband had no trouble at all. Sue was so helpful and was on hand if anything at all was needed.

Definitely needs a refresh. Walls could do with painting, the dishes were looking a little worn. Cleanliness wasn’t the greatest, baseboards in the bathroom really needed to be wipe down and the dust behind the toilet was unreal.Towels were old and rough, bedding was nice. The cot that was provided was impossible to sleep on. We ended up sleeping on the couch because the cot was just awful.Patio was niceWe really felt they needed to be a little bit more emphasis on the amount of stairs going up to the unit. It did say that there were stairs, but we were not expecting two full flights of stairs up to the unit.

This property is very nice, luxurious beds and linens and the space is so comfortable. Within walking distance to just about everything. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Overall, this unit was great, in combination with this lister's second unit, for the purposes of our group. It is great for walking in downtown, there is a paid parkade just behind the unit but does require walking around the block. The keys were sticky and could have had a better labeling system to facilitate entry. Despite the listing briefly mentioning stairs, it is important to note that the flights of stairs are long and steep. The second bedroom's skylight can not be covered, a summer issue.I am not sure if they had a recent issue in the main washroom, however from the listing photos to when we were there, a strip of flooring had been removed from beside the shower. We dared only use the rain head for showering, as water could splash out onto the subfloor. There is no door/curtain right beside the handheld wand. Additionally the hand held shower head anchor had a gap of at least 1cm where water could splash/drip behind the walls. Several of our group experienced symptoms that made them question if there is mold in the unit. Despite their cleaning fee being comparable to other vrbo's, we were expected to do more e.g. strip beds. There were a couple times where we tried to contact the host prior to the stay where we did not receive a timely answer, or at all. Additionally, we extended the stay by 1 night, were charged for 2, and then refunded for only 2/3 of the mistaken 2nd extra night. They told me that that was on vrbo not them, so be cautious if modifying a stay.

If you had of asked us in advance if the suites and access to the suites were suitable for a group of nip picky 85 year olds, I would’ve told you no. We have always been available by phone or email. We reviewed both for your stay and did not find any record of attempts to contact us.

Golf trip

This is our third golf trip to Nelson and the second year of staying at this condo. It’s the perfect location for walking to area restaurants etc.

Pat and Sue were welcoming and responsive, the unit was clean and fully functional. Great location, downtown historic Nelson. Tips for future guests: access to the unit is not trivial. Code for lockbox for keys, two doors to unlock, another code for the unit. Instructions were complete and accurate, but you have to follow them carefully.Lots of stairs to climb. 39 steps from the back, 25 from the front. Internet access was slow and intermittent. Bottom line: we enjoyed our stay, we'd come back, good value, highly recommended.

Great spot in the heart of Nelson

This is a wonderful property in the heart of Nelson's downtown core. It is walking distance to all the great shopping and restaurants. The Condo is very well laid out, secure, and clean. Our family would stay here at this hidden gem again when in town.

This property was perfect for our girls weekend. Right on Baker street and we walked to every store and restaurant and kept our vehicles in the parking garage located in the alley. The beds were really comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. Complete with a coffee bean grinder to help with our espresso martinis! We would definitely stay here again. The fireplace didn't have very big flames, but it sure put out the heat. It was too cold to enjoy the spacious patio. Maybe next time.

Skiing, hiking biking, golfing, boating, are just some of our activities. There is so much to do here and we are really excited to share this wonderful place with our guests.

If your interests are in being right in the heart of downtown Nelson yet having the access to all the area has to offer we believe that our condos are the perfect solution. The condo comes with a free parking stall in the Nelson Parkade directly across the alley from the Lodge
