Welcome to the Valhalla Suite at Mistiso’s Place — a warm, eclectic top-floor studio retreat in the heart of downtown Nelson, BC. Inspired by the beauty and spirit of the nearby Valhalla Mountains, this charming suite blends artistic character, comfort, and convenience for couples, solo travellers, skiers, and adventure seekers looking for a memorable Kootenay getaway.

Tucked beneath the roofline of our heritage guesthouse, the Valhalla Suite features rustic wood floors, Persian carpets, ceramic tile accents, and unique architectural details including skylights, eyebrow windows, and French windows that fill the space with natural light and mountain-town charm.

The suite includes a well-equipped kitchen with everything needed to prepare simple meals, along with a cozy dining area, comfortable sleeping space, and thoughtful touches that make longer stays easy and relaxing. Whether you are visiting Nelson for skiing, hiking, mountain biking, live music, festivals, or simply slowing down and reconnecting, the Valhalla Suite offers a peaceful and inspiring place to land.

Amazing!!!

Great location in Nelson! We parked our car and walked everywhere the whole time we were there. Extremely convenient and it had everything we needed. Highly recommend for a 1-2 people

Beautiful relaxing vacation spot

Fantastic property. Beautiful details, the host and staff were friendly and available, the location close to the lake was perfect, and the air conditioning kept us nice and cool! We especially appreciated that, when we forgot a sentimental item, the host took the trouble to mail it to our home. Thank you!

Lovely cozy apartment

We were really happy with how nice this small apartment was. Very nicely decorated. Everything you needed was there. The bed was particularly comfortable. It's a great location where you can easily walk everywhere. We would come back again, for sure.

The property itself was safe and clean, easy access, owners communicated well. Only concern was a homeless encampment adjacent to the rental and when we arrived two men were wandering the property looking in windows and cars.

Great place if you want to get away.

We were celebrating my wife's birthday and she loves Nelson. This place is in walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants. We spent more time in our room than we originally planned because it was so comfortable and relaxing. The room had everything we need for cooking and we did cook a couple of meals. We even used the gas grill outside. Maria is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. She made a few helpful suggestions of what to do in the area. The pictures on the web are good but the rooms are even better than the pictures. We definitely would recommend staying here.

Short but Suite

The Valahlla suite was better than advertised. Super cozy. Quiet street. Main bed and futon couch bed were very comfortable. Kitchen small but fully appointed. The fridge is only a bar fridge so not tons of storage for fresh food but so many restaurants within walking distance so shouldn't be an issue. Coop grocery also about 5 minutes walk. Maria and Loretta were very responsive via text and phone. Our stay was only for the one night but wish we had more time. Hope we can come back again.
