House in Avondale

The house was exactly as shown on site. The kitchen was adequately stocked with dishes and cooking pans. Neighborhood was quiet. The location was great…close to a lot of places and restaurants. Oh and the lemon tree in back was great!!!!! Made a lot of delicious lemonade. We would rent it again.

Avondale house

This house in a safe family residential area, great location ,easy access to the interstate system. There are many grocery stores and restaurants nearby! Our host Oscar was very accommodating! Only thing we were disappointed in was, that would could not park our vehicle in the garage! It was pictured with a garage , so we just assumed it was for use!

Great Spot in Avondale

Comfortable, nice, and clean! Easy access to everything in the West Valley area, plus very convenient to the freeway to get anywhere in greater Phoenix smoothly. Minutes away from some of the top Baseball Spring Training fields, and good golf. A great value.

Decent place, over-priced

We started off on a very bad foot. Instead of providing check in instructions through the Vrbo app as is customary the property manager texted me. Unfortunately I did not receive the text and the app indicated no checkin instructions were available. I then messaged the property manager through the app and after waiting an hour with no response finally called Vrbo. They were able to get in touch with him and the situation was resolved, but it is inexcusable that instructions would be provided in the app we used to book or that the property manager would not respond to messages through the app. So unfortunately after driving 4 1/2 hours we spent another 1.5 hours in the driveway not knowing how to get in or if we would be able to get in. Not fun with an infant baby in the car! After finally getting in, we found the place very underwhelming and the amenities were poor as well. In particular the place advertised that it had cable yet I think it was very generous to describe this service as “cable.” There were barely any channels outside of local channels. Did not even have basic cable channels like ESPN. I texted the property manager to ask if I was missing something and to inquire if we did at least had ESPN and after a delayed response he replied that “yes there was cable and that it should have ESPN”, with no instructions on how to find the channel as if I hadn’t already looked through the entire guide. Terrible service by this property manager overall. Also, there were no instructions laid out on how to use things in the house like cable, no check out instructions. Several things were not operating properly. The shower barely had warm water in the master bedroom, the knobs on the bathtub were semi broken, bedroom light switches did nothing etc. Overall the place was ok and convenient for us. It did appear to be clean as well but otherwise very disappointing. We stay at rentals annually here now for 6 years and this is by far our worst experience and definitely not worth the price.

Great Location, Great Set Up

Myself and 2 co-workers stayed here for a brief work trip. The setup was clean, convenient, and comfortable. Would stay again!

we truly enjoyed having the extra space, the kitchen, everything we needed for our stay. much more pleasant than a hotel room.
