Perfect getaway for a big family.

This beautiful home was generously appointed with lots of space for my entire family of 12. Loved the gorgeous view of the lake. Adults and children all had a blast enjoying the pool, kayaks and rental boat. Made memories to last us a lifetime.

Absolutely wonderful vacation

We had 14 guests ranging in age from 82 to 9. All enjoyed our trip. The house is amazing. Fully equipped, comfortable beds, plenty of seating at dinjng table, multiple refrigerators, pool was clean and the lake was wonderful...and the views were amazing. Would highly recommend this property.

Lake Norman House

The family had a great week at the Lake Norman house. The house was very spacious. We all enjoyed our time on the lake and in the pool. The host was very responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay.

Lake Norman Vacation House 2025

Thank you Shelly and Rob for making our family vacation perfect. The house was exactly what we needed for our group of 11 ranging in age from infant to 86. The main lake location of the house made for easy access to anything we needed or anywhere we wanted to go. The large pool was a favorite. Bob M.

Birthday Celebration

We rented this house to celebrated my mother-in-law’s birthday. There were 11 adults in our group. We had more than enough space and throughly enjoyed this beautiful home. The host was very friendly and accommodating to us. We would rent this house again in a heartbeat!

The house was beautiful the family had a great time. Until I had a fall after stepping off dock on to walk way lost my footing feel into rocks my left side face,arm knee,and leg all bruised and scraped up when to emergency room at Duke hospital Lake Norman. You mite want to look at the walk way the area right after stepping off docking

What a perfect house

Coffee watching the sun rise from the deck. Quick dip in the pool before you head out on the boat for the day>. Overstocked kitchen with everything you need. Two living spaces when forced family fun needs a break. Fishing off the dock at sunset. A perfect vacation!

Great House

After going on beach vacations all my life (I am 60), I wasn't too sure how I would like a lake vacation. I loved it and the house and its amenities and being lake front was wonderful. The house was equipped with everything we needed. Clean!!!! The contact person was very quick in responses. Would give it 5 stars all around!

Our family of 10, had a wonderful week here. The home is beautiful, incredibly spacious, and the lake views are just as stunning as the photos. The layout was perfect for our group, the beds were comfortable, and everyone loved the pool and kayaks.A few things future guests should know. The outdoor areas needed more attention. We own a flower farm in rural Virginia, so we’re not bothered by spiders, but the amount of webs on the stairs, outdoor furniture, pool fencing, railings, and dock was much more than expected for a home at this price point.Dog allergy alert: We found dog hair on the couches. My daughter has significant dog allergies, and her severe eczema flared badly. I shouldn’t assume based on listing No pets allowed.Our only real disappointment was the communication. Rob, one of the owners, stopped by unannounced to check the pool. He was very friendly, but we hadn’t been notified anyone would be coming that day. Checkout, we left 20mins after which I’m sure frustrating. I did let owners know. However, the owner entered the home before 10am without introducing herself or acknowledging us. We didn’t realize she was the owner until another person arrived looking for her. A simple introduction or acknowledgment would have made the interaction feel much more welcoming and professional.Overall, this is a beautiful home in a fantastic location. With a little more attention to outdoor maintenance and guest communication, it would easily have been a 5-star stay.

We're truly sorry to hear about the disappointing experience you had at our property. We always strive to give guests a 5 star experience. I would like to clarify a few things: 1. We have a total of 6 hours to clean and prepare the house between guests. Our focus is/has been/and always will be on making sure the inside of the house and the pool are immaculate. If we find ourselves with extra time (a rare occasion) we do a sweep of the exterior grounds. As a flower farmer I’m sure you are well aware that spiders can spin huge webs in the span of 30 minutes so there’s just not a lot that we can do about this (spraying for spiders as close as we are to the water is illegal for environmental reasons). 2. There hasn’t been a dog in the house in several years, unless someone snuck one in and I’m certain the cleaners would have noticed dog hair on the sofas. 3. We sent you a communication through the VRBO platform that someone would swing by to check on the pool. I am not sure how you missed that message. 4. Check-out is 10 am. No one entered the house prior to 10 am. One of the cleaners stuck her head in the door at 10 am and was told by someone in your party that she could start cleaning downstairs. I (the owner) didn’t enter the house until approximately 10:20. I greeted the first person I encountered on the outside steps but when I entered the house there was chaos – lot of people milling around (some in a state of undress) and the kitchen and DR were completely covered with your belongings. As stated earlier, we have a total of 6 hours to turnover the house and when guests overstay, it gives us even less time. My apologies for not stopping to chat but my goal was to not further delay your departure so we could get the house ready for the next guests.

Spacious, relaxing location

This place easily accommodated a family of nine ranging in age from 30 to 85. Bedrooms were all very comfortable and most had their own bathroom - a nice plus. The owners were very responsive to my couple questions, The two great rooms were a bit too much space for us., We appreciated the second kitchen downstairs because we had a substantial variety of prepared food for our Thanksgiving holiday meals. Only minor drawback was that small amenities were not provided in the bathrooms and kitchen such as soap bars. Extra bath towels would have been nice as well, as women tend to wrap their hair in one after a shower and use the second to dry and wrap their body,

Great vacation spot

Beautiful water views! Pool is perfectly located for lake view and full sunshine. Lake water was perfect for relaxing on the noodles provided. Kayaks were used ever morning and a wonderful addition to this stay. Open concept home with plenty of comfortable seating.

Lake Heaven

Such a lovely smart house with bedrooms on first floor on both ends of the house and then on the lower level on both ends of the house with nice private bathrooms. Beautiful views & salt water pool is clean & refreshing. The 3 Kayaks were nice~thank you. The fishing off the newly built dock was not only fun but a great success, a 30 lb catfish was caught. We brought our own boat and convenient to keep it docked so close. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home 💛

Great house, great amenities.

Everything went smoothly, the host was courteous and walked us around the property. We had access to some amenities we were not aware of, such as the kayaks. We were within a short drive our boat ride from excellent restaurants. Would go back if I could!

Great house with amazing lake views

We stayed here for Christmas and had a wonderful time. All of the bedrooms have a view of the water. Four of the six bedrooms have an en-suite and the shared bath for the other two rooms is large and really well organized. This home was comfortable and relaxing. We also woke up to the best sunrises. Our only ‘complaint’ was that it was too cold to go swimming. The pool and lake looked very inviting. The hosts were great. Friendly and very helpful. We would stay here again.
