Pleasant stay

Owner was very attentive to our requests, clean and comfortable. A couple of blocks away from heavy traffic, very quiet and peaceful for sleeping. A bit warm and muggy due to Mother Nature but looking forward to next year!

Absolutely Perfect!

A wonderful place for a family vacation. The house is well-maintained and was very clean! The neighborhood is quaint and mostly very quiet. Rich, is easy to get hold of if need be. The beach is a short walk. We brought bikes, and the area is very bike friendly! We had such a good week! The one thing that created some juggling was trash/recycling pickup. I doubt this can be corrected due to company scheduling, but receptacles were full when we arrived, and unfortunately, we left full receptacles for the next renter as well. It honestly sounds like a bigger deal than it was. We easily worked around the issue until trash day. Thanks, Rich. We hope to return one day!

Wonderful stay in Ocean Park!

This was a very comfortable cottage in Ocean Park in the pines area. All rooms are spacious and the home is exceptionally clean.We enjoyed the front enclosed porch for morning coffee and reading in the evenings with a glass of wine. Rich was welcoming and quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely book this home again. Thank you for the opportunity to allow us to stay in your home!

Old Fashioned Beach Cottage, quiet neighborhood

A great stay at a charming old fashioned New England style beach cottage within walking distance to the beach and a few small shops and casual restaurants. Quiet, shady neighborhood. Good for biking and skateboarding. The house was the perfect size for our family of 6. Beds were very comfortable. 2 large spacious bedrooms, 3 smaller kid-sized rooms. Two showers with good water pressure, a large living room and screen porch. Living room furniture was definitely dated but still comfy. Kitchen was big and open and adequate for cooking. Great washer and dryer. Rich, the owner, was extremely responsive and easy to work with. A really nice guy. One negative - no air conditioning. There were large fans in all the rooms which worked really well, until we hit day 3-4 of 90+ degree temps. Then the heat inside the house ( especially up stairs) became almost unbearable. My kids ended up sleeping on the sofas in the living room. AC is not a common amenity in most beach houses in Maine, and it has never been important to me when looking for a rental, but as the summers get hotter and temps become more extreme, it is something to consider for future vacations. Overall a great stay and we would likely rent again with fingers crossed for cooler temps!

A family favorite

This was our 10th stay at 10 Maine. It's a great house for large families with a nice distribution of bedrooms and bed sizes. It's nice to find a house with two queen bedrooms and two full baths. It's quaint and charming. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of cookware and small appliances. There is no central air but every room has a fan. It's about an 8 minute walk to the ocean and the cute shops in Ocean Park. Excellent communication with the host.

Perfect Family Vacation House

We LOVE this property! The house is immaculate, spacious, bright, and has all the conveniences of home (dishwasher, washer and dryer, 2 full baths and a large gas grill). 10 minute walk to beach, and the front porch is our favorite spot to relax with a cocktail in the evening. Rich was wonderful to deal with, the booking and check-in process was flawless even with all the travel stresses as a result of the pandemic. This was our second year staying here and we look forward to next year.

Great House. Great location

Ocean Park is away from all the noise of Old Orchard. This property is directly across from a wooded lot making it extra quite. The enclosed porch is great for sitting and relaxing in the early morning and evening hours.

The Old Family Home in Maine

This property is comfy and cozy. It's not full of updates--the small rooms and old wallpaper remind you of visiting your old, Maine family home--but everything you need is there, including peace and quiet. Great neighborhood; quiet street with lots of trees; a 5-10 minute stroll to the beach; a small but nice park for walks nearby; 5 minute drive to a big grocery store; great restaurants and coffee shops nearby; Portland, aka the Big City, is only about 20 minutes away. Maine is all about the way life should be, and this place represents the peace and quiet you'd expect. Rich made the check in and check out easy. We left feeling relaxed and re-energized. We'd stay again. Thanks, Rich!
