Cute, Comfortable Cottage!

The cottage and its location made a great "base of operation" for our trip! The house was well equipped, clean and very comfortable -- a lovely place to stay!

Close to the ORV Beaches

We've been coming to OBX/Hatteras for 17 years but this was our first time in Avon. The house was very cute and located close to quite a few restaurants, shops, and of course the best beaches in the world. I would recommend for a family or friends getaway.

The White House

Wonderful old house with all the special amenities. Great location and big yard for the pets. Regina's a great host and we definitely recommend this house.

Quaint cottage

Our favorite part of the house was the front porch! Coffee in the morning was very peaceful! This cottage offers a ton of charm. The cottage was well stocked and clean! We would stay here again!

Clean and homey

I’m particular about cleanliness and this property was lovely to stay at. The owners were exceptionally helpful and responsive to my husband in all regards. The house is fully stocked, WiFi stable, air conditioning cold, and everything was in good working order. We had a lovely visit, and would stay here again.

We love this house!

Our 3rd year booking this house, and each year it’s better and better! Regina is very friendly, her house is just the right size, and has all the comforts of home. The location is perfect and we will continue to rent this house if it’s available during times next summer that work for us! Thank you for having us again,we can’t wait to come back!

Best place in OBX.

This was our fourth time staying in OBX and was most definitely our favorite. The house was absolutely beautiful. The porch swing was a delight. The back porch was perfect for watching the sunset and star gazing at night. It also happens to be right across the street from a cemetery which was my wife’s favorite part. It was right in the middle of everything. Just a short drive to the beaches and restaurants.

Family getaway to the white house

We enjoyed a week at The White House property in Avon. We definitely enjoyed the house...100 years old, and we're big fans of "original!" They're about to to some renovations, but i hope they keep the charm of this house! Our weather wasn't fantastic, but there was plenty of room in the house for all 5 of us, and the front porch was nice, even in all the rain.

Great deal for a relaxing getaway

Perfect place for a quick three day, four night stay for our family at the Outer Banks. We loved the outdoor shower and the wraparound porch. Very close driving distance to the beach and main road. With three beds and three baths it had everything we needed for our family to have a nice, comfortable stay. Even got to walk next door for Sunday service at the Methodist Church next door. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay at the best price you can find on the island. Lots of precious memories made Ken our twin four year old girls, nine month old son and in-laws.

Location, location, location!

Lovely property with vintage charm. All the comforts of home and a fully equipped kitchen, back deck with grill, outdoor shower. Two bedrooms upstairs and a master room on the main level. Next to a church and across from the cemetery. The next door neighbor has lovely dogs that will greet you every afternoon, mild mannered and gentle. Short driving distance to the beach and most of Avon attractions. Bring your bath bombs to enjoy the vintage claw foot tub! Avon is a laid back community and the perfect getaway to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Great cottage by the beach

Great vacation cottage by the beach. The host is very responsive and helpful. The location is great. Only 5-10 minutes drive from everything you need. The beach could be walking distance too, if 15-20 minutes walk doesn’t bother. I read through the reviews before booking and read few reviews about “what a great front porch” and a great spot to enjoy the morning coffee. I believe it is a great porch, even though the fans are so low that I needed to duck everytime I had to walk under them….can be great for people under 6’. So it didn’t really work for me. And the cemetery view from across the street didn’t really work for me either….not really for everyone, I guess. The house could be cleaner. And the beds are not the best….but I assume it’s understandable for a beach cottage….?! The beds were undone when we checked in. We had to put sheets on the beds. Every vrbo I’ve booked before had the beds done.Towels are lacking, the same as the bed sheets. This was a first time for us… But overall 5* for the host friendliness, and helpfulness, and location.

Nice area, house is fine, a couple hiccups resolved. Good access to beach.

The house is centralized on the Outer Banks. Grocery store very near. Good restaurants near. Cable TV was great. Wi-Fi fine. There is a church next door and an old family cemetery across the street. I LOVE cemeteries! Very interesting.
