I stayed at Tina's house with my husband, parents, brother, sister-in-law, sister, and my brother's three-month-old baby. We had plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and having three bathrooms was amazing. We used a lot of water between all of the showers, dishwasher, and laundry, but we never ran out of hot water. The air conditioner always kept the house cool and comfortable (despite it being hot outside).
The kitchen was well stocked with all of the cooking utensils, dishes, cutlery, etc that we needed. There was even some spices, cooking oil, dish soap, dishwasher and laundry detergent already waiting in the cabinets. There were plenty of towels for everyone, the beds and bedding were comfortable, and there was a variety of beach chairs, toys, boogie boards, etc in the storage room downstairs.
The beach was less than a block away and since there are no condos in this area it was not crowded and was mostly families. There was an abundance of wildlife at the beach. We saw schools of several different types of fish swimming in the waves, a variety of sea birds (mostly pelicans and terns, but there was also a great blue heron fishing along the shore one day), and a pod of 12-15 dolphins jumping in the waves just off shore for several hours one day. It was a very peaceful neighborhood and only a couple of miles from the ferry to Dauphin Island (we took a day trip over there).
We had an amazing time and would definitely visit again.
Thanks Tina!
