We built it To Be Natural and Within the Grove of Trees and Gardens! It was built by Pat Woodall over the course of five years with attention to every detail! Mortice, notch and tendon construction of joinery with exposed Douglas Fir Beams, sided Spruce logs and passive solar thermopane Windows on all sides make the views spectacular in all directions. Solar curtains on every window and skylight make it warm and cozy and tie in to the decor. The decor is very special. White Duve covers on each bed, flannel sheets in the winter over dual control heating mattress covers make getting out of bed a little tough but when you do, oh my!
Vibrant paintings adorn the walls between the windows and a 3'x5' simulated fireplace with heated blower is located on the wall upstairs in the large parlor bedroom with a Queen Bed and Single Bed. The heat on the ground floor is hot water radiant heat under character grade Hickory floors in the living room and kitchen coupled with heated marble tile in the bedroom and full bath. Sock feet are warm and welcome. Two open decks await you upstairs, the Sunset and Sunrise Decks and a outside wooden staircase provides access to the downstairs covered wraparound portal with comfortable seating, gas grill and a walkway of a few feet to the 4 person Hot Tub. A 10 foot double door opens onto the wraparound porch and into the Solar Entry and Living Room of the Casa Carmen. Lots of parking and easy access are other amenities.
