Amazing remote cabin

The Grizzly cabin in Denali Wildlife was nothing short of amazing. It was beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. It was remote enough to be one with nature and hike from the cabin, yet be at nearby restaurants and Denali National Park in 10 minutes or less. This cabin was a gem!

Hotel room in the wilderness

The cabin was nicely done and the setting was beautiful. The layout replicated a large hotel room and only had a refrigerator and microwave and wasn't well stocked with dishes to use but we still enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location. Grocery, brewery nearby. Exactly what we needed for a cozy 2-night visit to Healy / Denali. WiFi did not work consistently -- not an issue for us as data was readily accessible. Would recommend!

July Vacation near Denali

The Grizzly Cabin is in a great location in between the entrance to Denali National Park and the town of Healy. AK. The cabin was slightly smaller than expected but was very clean and still met the needs for our family of four adults. An easy walk from the cabin to Otto Lake where we watched (at a safe distance) a moose with her calf swim across the lake together while a bald eagle watched from a tree nearby. Communication with the owner was great and we had no issues during our stay.

Getaway

Great location for a getaway convenient to Denali National Park. Country club and 49 State brewery were good choices to eat. Property owner was great to communicate and make sure we had everything we needed.

Great Place to Stay Near Denali

Cabin was a perfect basecamp for exploring Denali National Park. Only a few minutes to the park entrance and to restaurants. Cabin was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities you’d want. Owner is incredibly friendly and responsive to any issues. 10/10.

The view!!

We were blown away by the view from this cabin! Beautiful property. I so appreciated the keurig cups for coffee in the morning, thank you! And we loved seeing a moose on the side of the road eating her dinner. We would definitely choose to stay again!

Lovely cabin in a perfect setting

Our family loved our stay at the Grizzly cabin. The location was perfect: close to the Denali park entrance and restaurants, but far enough away to feel private. The grounds around the cabin were beautiful, the fire pits and grills worked great, and the kitchen was stocked with s'mores supplies. The host was responsive and helpful. Highly recommended and would absolutely return.

Great Cabin!

The cabin was very clean and included many amenities that were very appreciated (coffee, creamer, s’mores supplies, cleaning supplies, etc.). The property is beautiful and secluded off of the highway, but is only a 10 minute drive to the Denali National Park and gift shops. There is also a great brewery just 5 minutes away that we really enjoyed. We were lucky enough to see moose right outside of the cabin one of the evenings we stayed. I would recommend this cabin to anyone traveling to Denali!

This was the perfect place to stay while visiting Denali. The location was easily accessible but remote enough that we really did feel we were in the wilderness. It rained a lot if the time, so we stayed in the cabin more than we had planned. It was beautifully furnished with 2 queen beds, a counter-height dining table with 4 wooden chairs, and 2 straight-backed cushioned chairs; we were wishing for comfortable "hang-out" seating.

This was a great place to stay if you’re looking to get away into a place where there is peace and quiet. The road getting in there is a little bumpy but certainly possible for vehicles. They have numerous regulations for you to follow, but I’m pretty sure they all have come as a result of an experience somewhere along the line. So we were quite willing to do what they asked. They have a great place outside for fires and just enjoying the outdoors. Also a lake nearby with a trail down to it for some hiking experience. There are a total of five cabins in the area and we were the only ones there so it was very private, quiet, and most enjoyable.

Nice stay near Denali NP

The property is a studio cabin, very clean, good fridge, microwave only kitchen, nice bathroom, and obviously well looked after. It provided what we wanted: a cozy place to sleep after spending the day in Denali. Other cabins are nearby but not so close as to be intrusive. Be prepared for a 5 min drive on a well maintained gravel road to reach the cabin from the main road, but its pretty easy to find. We wish the cabin had some chairs other than the dining chairs. As it is you have to sit on the beds if you want a comfortable seat. Also the communication from the host could have been a bit better. The directions sent were very vague as to how far the drive was from a landmark ("5-8 miles"... really?) and they never explained that there were multiple cabins. On arrival we had to check back to our reservation to figure out which one was ours. Not a big deal but room for improvement. Overall it was a nice stay, gave us what we were looking for and we would recommend it to others.

Hello! My name is Lacie and my husband is Andy. We moved to Alaska in Feb 2011 from Montana for Andy's job and to enjoy the Alaskan outdoor lifestyle of hunting and fishing. We attend and I'm active in my church in Healy. I've worked internationally in the customer service/sales industry for over 18 yrs, God blessed me by putting so many awesome people in my life that made my travels amazing. I have always said when I was done traveling I wanted to open a business were I would still meet people from all over and make their travel memorable. Andy is a generational master builder (log and stick) by trade so when we moved here to Alaska everything started falling into place, God blessed us with our home that's on 27 wooded acres, surrounded by state land, at the base of MT Healy and sits on Otto Lake, feels so calming and peaceful. Perfect place for people to come see our beautiful state and get that "Alaska feeling" that they hope to find. IT'S TRUE "ALASKA IS THE LAST FRONTIER" there's nothing like it. come check it out, you'll be glad you did!!

We bought this property because we enjoy the outdoors, being close to everything and yet we have privacy :)) the lake, hiking trails, the amazing views, being able to walk out on our deck and breathe in that crisp clean air with the peace and solitude that surrounds us ...... we live the Alaska dream every day :))) and we want to share it with you :))

We are unique and different because of were we are :) there are no neighbors except our other cabins, we are on 27 beautiful secluded wooded acres on Otto Lake with fishing, picnicking, hiking trails all right out your door, the views are amazing, you will get that Alaska wilderness feel you came here for and still only 3 miles from Healy with a Grocery store, restaurants a bank, health clinic, post office, auto parts store and churches. Then you go south about 8 miles to Glitter Gulch and you have more restaurants, gift shops that have everything you can want to buy for people back home and about 2 more miles your at the parks entrance ;)). You will love it here and I will be available to answer any questions..
