Great stay!

This place was well stocked, awesome amenities, and a beautiful home. We loved the fire pit and watching Herons and seals out in the bay. Great birdwatching too and a lovely spacious home.

Relaxing haven

This was my fourth time staying here and it always leaves me relaxed, happy and feeling connected to nature. The home itself is stunning and outfitted with everything you could need. The property is gorgeous, very very quiet sitting on Mud Bay with families of geese, eagles, seagulls and otters. On the south end of the island, it’s “Slowpez” at its best!

Wonderful Property In Serene Location

Had a fantastic visit at this property and loved every minute of it! Located at the South end of the island and away from the crowds it affords a very private and quiet experience. Fantastically stocked kitchen - we cooked almost all our meals in and came prepared however we hardly had to use anything at all! Kirkland olive oil with a fresh date on it, no old sell-by dates, etc. and an amazing assortment of pots, pans, knives, utensils, etc. The appliances are all like new and function flawlessly. The water filter on the fridge was even 'current / not expired!' which is rarely the case! (great attention to detail) The range and oven were easy to use and great to cook on, and the gas grill outside was practically brand new and even had a spare full gas cylendar next to it! (Had a great time cooking outside on that grill - very nice!) The floors were new and the seating comfortable, which made watching movies at night easy and enjoyable. It's clear the owners have spent a lot of money dressing the place up and it shows! We truly enjoyed being there, wandering around the beach area and just sitting outside by the fire pit (splitting maul and hatchet with plenty of dry firewood included!) With the village being a short 10-15m drive away we never felt it was 'too far' (small rural store 5m away) and loved being so close to so many amazing parks/hikes/beaches. My only disappointment was not being able to stay longer....

Beautiful home, not clean at all.

The home and property were stunning. Beautifully arranged and we had everything we need. I felt if the owners knew how their home was being maintained they may be disappointed. The gorgeous corner windows designed for views were covered in handprints and hadn't been cleaned in a while. We had to wash them to actually enjoy the view. We did not use the primary shower due to lack of cleanliness. Dust, soap scum and hair remnants were easily visible. The beds unfortunately need replacing as they have indents and pillows were badly stained. We were so happy with how stocked the kitchen was as we cooked mostly at home, but half of the dishes we came across had to be re-washed. There was honestly very obvious food still stuck on them. Ultimately we adopted the home, how it was decorated, location and view so much but the cleanliness was one of the worst I've stayed in before. I hope this can be resolved and I could visit again.

A wonderful getaway!

What a perfect place to spend time with my daughter, son-in-law, and two grandkids! Roomy, clean, lots of amenities! The crackling fire was awesome as we relaxed, did jigsaw puzzles, read, played games or…..just looked outside at the gorgeous view(s)! The outside fire area was perfect for cooking smores, roasting wieners, or simply drinking coffee! I cannot WAIT to visiting again! Barb Hunt ( Jessica’s mom!)

Great view, housekeeping could be better

We loved the house and location. Here are the pros and cons:ProsAmazing location and beautiful view Quiet and privateSpacious and well stocked with foil, baggies, salt, lots of dishes and cooking utensilsBeds and furniture were comfortableTowels were large and plentiful Appliances worked wellConsHousekeeping could be better. For example: the outdoor furniture was covered in bird poop. This wasn’t just a days worth of poop. It was heavy and caked on. We stayed two nights and once we cleaned the chairs up we did not come back outside to any poo so it clearly had been a while since they were cleaned up. There was a lot of dust/debris around the indoor fireplace, there were black hairs around the toilet and in the shower in the primary bathroom, the sliding door tracks in the primary bedroom were extremely dirty as was the flooring around the shower.The make-up towels need an upgrade as they are very worn.There were no instructions on what to do at checkout so we didn’t know if we should strip the beds and start laundry (assuming not given all the service fees)We could not figure out the main heat/AC and there were no instructions. Same with the speakers for the record player which was a bummer.Regarding the housekeeping, we did contact the property manager the day we arrived and were advised they would reach out to housekeeping. We cleaned up the problem areas and carried on with our weekend and would rent the house again.

Relaxing Water Vacation

Amazing access to the water at high tide for launching our kayaks and SUP boards. Low tide was perfect for bird watching while enjoying a cup of coffee on the beach. Perfect set up for star gazing and gathering around the campfire. The house was comfortable and the kitchen was amazingly well stocked. We’ve already booked a return trip for next year.

Beautiful peaceful setting

My husband Ava I stayed for 5 nights . Lovely house , comfortable, loads of natural light . Kitchen well stocked , so happy for that ! The only thing missing was some kind of instruction booklet for the house . Heat, kinda hard to figure out , not sure if they did recycling , that kinda stuff . ,

Great getaway!

Great location, great layout of house, and amenities. It was all fabulous! Loved being right next to an estuary, and right on the bay, so much sea life, it was never a dull moment.

Great place - I would stay there again:)

The setting and view of the water was beautiful, the kitchen, dining room, and family room furniture were excellent, as well as the outside tables and adironack chairs by the firepit. I would suggest updating the bathrooms. The only problem we had was that we were unable to access Netflix, Prime, etc., on the master bedroom tv. The customer service people tried to help but we unable to fix it.

Great location on Lopez Island

We had a wonderful stay on Lopez Island. The property is on the opposite side of the island from the ferry dock and restaurants/shopping area, about a 15-20 min drive, but we enjoyed the remoteness of it. We had a beautiful view of the water, plenty of outdoor spaces to relax, amazing sunsets. The property was fairly clean when we arrived. Kitchen is nice and well-stocked.

New, spotless, lots of windows with amazing views

Perfect place to bring kayaks. Can put in right off the yard. (Lowest tide when we were there was +1.0' and it wasn't hard or too muddy to put in.) Nice protected sound for beginner kayakers. Many small islands to kayak around and explore. Only 6 miles by water to Spencer Spit. Saw lots of sea otters and bald eagles. The house is really nice and new inside. Has board games and amazingly stocked kitchen. Loved the many outdoor tables and sitting/ gathering places. We were out there all the time. Little grocery store just a mile away. Highly recommend.

Peaceful location

Lovely location, peaceful and relaxing, however, the beds were poorly made and there was an ant issue in the kitchen. First time renting through Vacasa and it was missing the little touches that other private rentals we've stayed in had, just something to note although we enjoyed our stay overall

Gorgeous!!

This property was exactly what we were hoping for!! The views out of the living room, were breath taking, not to mention just feet from the water. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Just what we needed. We traveled up from Reno for this vacation. We were supposed to travel with another couple, but they unfortunately got ill and could not make it. The house was too big for just the two of us, but lovely nonetheless. The only thing I would say to be cautious of, were the bees. It prohibited us from sitting outside, as much as we wanted to. We would still rebook there, if the opportunity ever arose again. Thank you!!!!

Great home... unfortunate event... :(

My family stayed at this wonderfully renovated house. The looks and style were amazing. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked and supplied and house had amazing amenities. Heated floors in the bathrooms. Plenty of rooms and space for everyone. Great views of the water... unfortunately, that was where things went wrong. Unlucky for us, the house was was too close to the water and due to an un-natural tidal rare occurrance, the house flooded. We had to evacuate early in the morning after waking up to the house being surrounded by water. It's really a shame since the house looked like it had undergone some really nice renovations and upgrades. We hope they are able to get it back up and running and would love to stay there again... minus the freakish tidal occurance.

Comfortable and peaceful

The house is situated on a peaceful bay and between a nature preserve and row of other quiet cabins. We were a group of 4 adults and two kids (2&10) and we had plenty of room. The “kids room” is far from the other two rooms, which can be a positive or negative depending on your situation. Kitchen is fully stocked with any appliance or utensil one might need. Super cute mid-century furniture. We took advantage of the wood and fire pit one lovely night. The village is an easy 15 minute drive away for supplies and food. We did have two issues and both involved the door lock that some might want to be aware of. First, we couldn’t figure out a way to lock the main/back door so that the toddler couldn’t open it from the inside (a bit of a safety issue for us). Also, be aware that you can easily walk out that door and lock yourself out if you don’t have the code on you. Second, it seems that the door code changed on the second day but I wasn’t alerted. We had to contact support. (Make sure to share contact details for the house with all adults just in case your phone dies while you’re out!) Direct contact with the property owners rather than a third party management company that isn’t familiar with the house might have been helpful, but response was also prompt.

BEWARE of MOSQUITOES!!

One thing that this place does not mention is that this house is located right next to an estuary. We could not leave the house and enjoy the waterfront without being eaten ALIVE. Myself and my family left with literally 100’s of bites on our bodies. The screen doors were broken allowing mosquitoes to come into the house. It’s the worse when you’re trying to sleep and the buzzing of mosquitoes are keeping you awake! Also, the gap between the bottom of the front door and the floor is so wide that we had to fight big a** spiders EVERY night!! When there was a slight breeze, it was nice to be outside as the breeze kept the mosquitoes away. But before we could enjoy a fire in the pit on the beach, the plastic chairs that was provided had so much bird poop on it, we had to scrape it off and wash it down ourselves. All in all, we had a good time as a family, but we won’t be coming back to this place.

Keep Looking

Only positive was location; Very close to the water, and supply of dishes. Cobwebs with spiders all over the house. Stove was filthy including oven door on inside. Knob on burner kept popping off. One of the burners was popped up and made it difficult to use. Screens did not close tightly leaving a gap for bugs to fly in. Large empty crab shell right outside living room door on patio. Master bathroom and bedroom smelled like dogs. Opened windows and door but smelled lingered all 4 days. Window sills were filled with dead bugs. Towels were left in dryer for us to fold when we needed them. House did not smell clean.

Amazing location and vibe - just don't look too close

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days/2 nights in June 2022. We absolutely loved the location - right on the water, amazing views and great wildlife viewing (there are eagles living very nearby who came by to fish/eat in the morning and evening). The house itself is gorgeous with incredible views and has a really cool vibe - although they have changed the rug and furniture in the living room. The driveway is very steep but easily managed. There were several things that were disappointing, especially for the price. First, the door was wide open with the key in it when we arrived which didn't feel very safe. The interior smelled like new paint or new fixtures that are still "off-gassing" which was unpleasant. The glassware was covered in dust and generally everything in the kitchen had to be washed before it was used. There was no "welcome book" with details on how the appliances (including the heat/ac) worked or wifi credentials. There was also a gap between the front door and the floor that rodents could easily enter. The final straw for me was on the second night when we saw at least 10 bats sleeping inside the covering above the front door. You had to walk underneath the sleeping bats to enter to house! I know wildlife is to be expected but it is clear that no one is paying close attention to what is happening at this house.
