Home away from home

The home was stocked better than most places I have been. The view was amazing, when I called to check on where the rooms were located I was told that there was a room on the ground floor. Well my mom is not that stable on stairs and that was why I asked, it was almost accurate and she managed the 5 steps to her room, maybe list where the rooms are.?

Great house for large group

Stayed here for two nights with a group of friends for a wedding on the island. The location was very convenient - walkable to/from the ferry. The house is spacious and has a great view.

The house has some of the best views around. The sunset is beautiful from the two decks. Comfortable beds and furniture. Nice kitchen table area to spend time with family.

Quirky, rambling and spacious house. Convenient to ferry. The porch water view was spectacular especially at sunset. The owl theme was fun. Would definitely return.

Absolutely beautiful property right next to the ferry! Super convenient and a lovely space. The kitchen has all of the dishes and utensils you’ll need and almost every room has a balcony which is really nice. We had 9 people staying and it was the perfect space for everyone to have their alone time but still gather together

Owl House, Orcas Island

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Owl House. The multiple rooms - bedrooms, den, dining area, living room, bathrooms - gave all of us Lots of room to "do our own thing" as well as gather together. The views from the deck are wonderful, we saw beautiful sunsets and the northern lights! Each bathroom has a unique feature in it and the living room-dining area are very nice.

Location was perfect to catch the ferry, ride bikes into town and pick up groceries! Very relaxing vacation home!

Owl Lane Home a/k/a the quirky turkey house

This was a fun, interesting, quirky house to stay in. We were there for three nights and it provided pretty much what we needed. Our first morning there, the sunrise was just spectacular. A great way to start our day. As we prepared to hit the island, we were greeted by about 7 turkeys who were quite friendly. Absolutely loved that! We didn't see them again until our last day. They came to say good bye. The evenings we were there, it was nice to watch the sun set with a nice glass of wine. Even with the architectural oddities of the house, I would totally stay again.

Everyone loved the view and the close proximity to the ferry terminal. It was very convenient to ride the ferry with our bicycles to the various islands. The accommodations worked out perfectly. We saw a small pod of orcas from the deck our last night. Would certainly recommend it to friends.

We had a good time but the place could have been a little cleaner. The little nats were a bit of a frustration. There are some things that definitely could be replaced; the upper deck has a hole in it with a chair over it which could be a hazard and the ancient oven should be replaced as well. All in all it was a fun place to stay but some updates would be great. Wonderful for accommodating a larger crowd.

The proximity to the Ferry port from Orcas Island and to a small grocery store is certainly a plus. There is also a magnificent view from the main deck of the property. There is no doubt that the property is showing its age and older construction style, but the condition and cleanliness is as best as possible with the aging property. We would consider returning to this location.
