Great Rental!

Perfect place to stay

Attended a family reunion in Harpers Ferry and the Cottage was great. Our host was great and the Cottage had all of the supplies covered. I would stay again.

Marita was super easy to work with and her place was perfect for my wife and I for our weekend.

Very wonderful place for a couple to have some time away. Very nice cottage and well stocked kitchen as well.

Amazing Amenities

This cottage was a beautiful place to stay. The decorating and cleanliness were fantastic. It was to nice to come back to this place after a day of hiking and sightseeing.

River Vacation

Place is very beautiful and very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Harpers Ferry. It truly feels like a home away from home. Marita is an outstanding host. Looking forward to staying there again in the future. Would recommend!!!!

Cozy, homey retreat

The Cottage is one of the nicest rentals my spouse and I have ever stayed at. The space is cozy and homey, spotlessly clean, and effortlessly welcoming. We enjoyed our visit immensely, and would stay here again in a heartbeat if we ever come back to the area.

What a lovely cottage!!

Everything was perfect!! The decor is absolutely adorable and very comfortable! The owners were so helpful in answering all our questions, as this was our first VRBO experience. Wonderful experience all the way around!

Cute and comfy

Love your cozy style!

The pictures in the site don't do your cottage justice! I loved it from the moment I walked in! Very clean and comfortable! Everything anyone could possibly need was available! We would stay again for sure!

Quaint retreat

This is my third visit to the Cottage and it did not disappoint. The Cottage is set up perfectly for a wonderful visit of Harpers Ferry. The cottage is clean and well appointed. It truly feels like no detail is forgotten. I’d highly recommend the Cottage for a getaway spot to relax and unwind. Marita is amazing to work with. You’ll be sad to leave at the end of your stay.

Family Reunion in Harper's Ferry

Staying at the cottage was a perfect spot to walk to all local activities during our reunion. Our Dad and his wife live in Harper's. We're from Florida and met other family members from Washington state, Colorado, and Wisconsin who stayed in nearby rentals. We went to the farmers market, had a picnic in the park, launched the boats for fishing and joy riding, kayaked and paddle boarded, took the little ones to the splash pad, and had a scavanger hunt through out the town that revealed many of its treasures. It is a wonderful place to enjoy the family. Our host made it very comfortable. Thank you!

The Cottage

We loved our stay at this adorable cottage. This property has to be by far one of the best we have stayed at. The owners thought of everything with so many personal touches. Marita was so helpful in recommending places to eat and visit while in Harpers Ferry. The towns people are all so friendly. Our only regret, we didn't stay longer. We will definitely be heading back in hopes of staying longer. Thanks Marita!

Perfect place for sights and relaxing!!

We were excited for our stay at this property after seeing the photos and communicating with the owner - everything was beyond our expectations! The property is beautiful - very clean, comfortable, relaxing, and ready to pamper guests! It's location was perfect as we were able to easily travel to Effigy Mounds, Pikes Peak, downtown McGregor, Marquette, and Prairie du Chien. If we had more time, the Yellow River trails and Lansing area were close by as well. The small town where the property is located is friendly, great for walks, and includes a restaurant within a couple of blocks. We could see the river from the window of the cottage or could sit on the patio to enjoy the evening. The owner is wonderful to work with and has thought of many extras for her guests - from bottled water to area brochures and snacks. We would definitely love to visit again!!

My wife and I rent houses rather than hotel suites. The cottage is new (2018), of quality construction, and well appointed - likely better than most people’s homes. In this regard, the cottage is a 5 of 5. Iowa Also had hurricane-like storms a week before we arrived, Marita responded quickly to our inquiries about power and internet. A thought, the unit was not prepared with the guest in mind. We came for 3 days, did not anticipate eating out (social distancing), and we were unable finding room for our food, particularly in the freezer which was FULL. Much of our food was placed in a box on the counter.
