Every aspect of the house was awesome! We couldn’t have asked for a better week! Just being able to watch the sunrise each day was a gift! My dog Nia enjoyed soaking up the sun on the back porch & our short walk to the beach where we loved running & playing every day!! Thanks for a great stay🥰

The beach house was in a great location and was cozy and comfortable. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and appreciated being able to have our dog with us for her first beach trip. We'll both agreed that we'd love to rent the home again in the near future. The host was excellent in responding to all of our questions ahead of our stay.

Kitchen was compact but large enough. To be comfortable. View was stunning. You can see the ocean from 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen. Took lots of pictures of sunrise, and moon rise. Pictures don’t do the cottage justice. The living area is much larger than it looks in pictures. Bedrooms are small but adequate. Beds are comfortable. I just a can’t say enough about the cottage view, location. 2 minutes from the beach. Very easy access, no big hill to climb from beach to wooden walkway. Tiki bar is easy walking distance from the beach or road,and is one of my favorite restaurants. Great food and drinks.
Bathroom has a long two shelf counter to keep all your stuff on. Row of lots of hooks for your towels.
Most of my inside pics had people in them. This doesn’t do it justice but only shot I had There is a comfy couch and a recliner in the living room.
Private yard is a beach. Very comfy and you can take the sun right in your yard.
Moon rise. We had a harvest moon so got some great pictures. Right from the porch

Our Happy Place

This was our second stay. Mike has carved out a little slice of beach paradise. Our family has enjoyed making so many great memories there this past two years. We weren’t five minutes down the road on our way home when my daughter said, “so we’re coming back again next year, right?” I sure hope we can. If the beach is your thing then you want to stay here. Mike is such a great host, keeps his property beautifully maintained and welcoming, and is genuinely great to deal with.

Another great stay at Surf4life! Mike’s place is clean, has everything you need, and the proximity to the beach and downtown is absolutely perfect. This is our second stay and we can’t wait to come back next year.

My family just had one of the best, most memorable trips we have been on and were blown away at how amazing this house was. It was perfect for us and the host, Mike, has done a superb job with EVERYTHING! It is the most comfortable VRBO we have stayed at and we felt at home. We had everything we needed, it all worked, it was clean, super convenient, etc. Very cozy and right on the beach with gorgeous views from inside that you wake up too and an awesome ocean side porch to just chill on. Or you can hangout below the house in a couple hammocks. Being able to just simply walk straight out of the house and down to the beach is also amazing. I could go on and on about this experience and all that was so great. Thanks so much Mike!!

Fantastic Again

Our second year staying here. One of the best locations in Carolina Beach. The house has everything we need. Great space off the deck behind the dune, beach chairs, new appliances, fully stocked kitchen. Mike is incredibly responsive.

Darling cottage right on the beach

We stayed at the cottage in March. A lot was not open yet so it was pretty quiet in town and on the beach. We didn’t mind the lack of crowds. The location is great. The cottage is spotless. Be sure to note that they do not supply towels, but they can be easily and cheaply bought at Walmart on your way into town. Book with confidence and have a great trip!

I spent a week watching the sun come up walking the beach and I love that he has a key you can carry around so you do not have to put in a code every time to want in.

Debby Didn’t Deter Us

What a perfect beach cottage. Our family of four, plus our pup, thoroughly enjoy this oceanfront cottage. Don’t be deterred by the pictures showing what appears to be a parking lot on the side of the home. It isn’t. It’s actually the road nobody but the neighbors can use it. Mike was incredibly responsive. Just the perfect host. Although our weather wasn’t great there was plenty to do and see in CB and at the cottage. We’re already planning our stay next summer.

Birthday Getaway

We usually visit CB once or twice a year. This cottage is in a great location - near restaurants and easy access to the beach. Well-stocked kitchen, nice porch for enjoying sunrise/sunset, coffee or evening cocktails, comfortable living space, and it’s pet friendly! Bed linens are provided but don’t forget to pack beach, bath, hand, and kitchen towels. We look forward to another stay - highly recommend!

Hidden Gem

My family and I had a wonderful stay, we particularly enjoyed seen the sun rise in the mornings and a strawberry moon from the back porch at night. This property is a hidden gem, very clean and just steps away from the beach. I appreciated the clear instructions on check in and check out. The host was always accessible, within minutes they message back and answer my questions. We look forward to another stay in the near future.

Perfect family beach home

We had an amazing time staying at this beach house. It has amazing views from the back porch. Our family of 5 stayed comfortably here! Our daughter's loved the hammocks! Mike and his cleaning team are wonderful people. We forgot a small bag of things and they mailed it to us! I would definitely recommend this home for a single family looking to just relax and spend quality time on the beach. ** would also recommend Granny's kitchen across the street has a wonderful breakfast!

Second Stay at Beach Cottage...

did not disappoint! We came back to Mike's beach house but this time for a longer stay. We love everything about this gem of a place. Location is perfect. Views are amazing. House is nicely decorated and clean! Everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Best of all, the weather was perfect. 80-90 degree sunny days. Went to Granny's Kitchen across the street for breakfasts. Spent time at the Ocean view grill right down the beach for lunch and drinks. Lake Park Steak House, Nikki Sushi, Remini's Italian Restaurant were all very good! Can't wait to come back. Thanks Mike!

Surf4life Beach Cottage is one of the only oceanfront homes on a private street with no public parking. This house has unobstructed ocean and beach views with sunrises to die for! You can sit on the porch and watch the surfers and beach goers. The Tiki Bar is very close and your can see the crowds and hear the live music in the summer time!
