Great relaxing fun on Frye Island

We had a great time on Frye Island from boating , golfing , pickle ball, basketball and even a whiffle ball game with our grand kids. We loved having dinner and drinks at the Frye Island Cafe. We loved the layout of our rental cabin that looks like a light house and use of their dock and mooring for our rental pontoon boat. Our entire family had a great time.

Walker trip to Sebago/Frye Island

Beautiful location! Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with our family ❤️. The island is very quaint. The property set perfect for sunrises and the blue super moon was stunning! The Anson’s are great people. We love the house, deck and access to the lake. We will return!

Lovely family destination

We are Maine natives who never really spent any time on Frye island, so we rented this property. We brought our golf cart over and a couple of jet skis. The teen boys had a great time tubing, heading over to Frye’s leap, and our nightly visits to the restaurant for ice cream. Weather was perfect too. Our host and hostess were very helpful and gave us great information. Definitely provision well before coming over was one tip which was very important. The kitchen is bright and spacious with everything you need to cook up a storm.

Lighthouse getaway

Frye Island never disappoints. We’ve been visiting for many years but this was our first time staying at this unique and charming property Great location and plenty of water front fun .

Perfect family vacation

Perched on the shore of Frye Island this beautiful home is great for family gatherings. The views from the deck are amazing as is the swimming from the dock. Lots of space for cooking and eating in the kitchen. Perfect spot. Owners are very helpful and generous.

Wondeful Stay on Frye Island

We had a wonderful stay at Elizabeth and Kent's "lighthouse house"! We vacation every year with our friends and their two children on Sebago Lake. We decided to try Frye Island this year and we were not disappointed. It is a great house and property with a lot of features and amenities! To name a few that were unexpected and appreciated - second refrigerator downstairs, single float for the lake, life jacket for kids, golf clubs (we didnt use them though as no one golfs), adult bikes/kid bikes, and a big grill! The location was ideal as it was close to the cafe/store/ferry. We had a wonderful vacation!!

Breathtaking View

Our family just returned from a fabulous week at the “lighthouse”. The views were spectacular. We spent most of the days enjoying our boat rental on the lake. Elizabeth and Kent were fantastic and were available for any questions or problems we had.

Fantastic getaway and well appointed vacation rental

The lighthouse exceeded out expectations and I really have nothing bad to say. Elizabeth and Kent were great and the house was comfortable and served us well. The stairs proved to be quite a workout but we expected that going in. The only suggestion I would make would be to add a ladder to the dock so guests can bypass the rocky entry. Otherwise, water shoes are a must if you want to swim at the beach out front of the house. Already thinking about a return visit in 2020!

Peaceful Frye Island Home

The property was in excellent condition, very clean, very easy to use all of the appliances, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed and the family was comfortable sleeping in the 3 rooms. They loft was a great escape when it rained to read books and to play games. Thank you for a great week.

Great house on the lake

Great house. Very clean and as described and shown in the pictures. The owners are very attentive and accommodating. Great lake with incredibly clear water and multiple sandy beaches all over the island. The ferry on and off the island is very easy and quick. Kids aged 3, 6, and 7 all fell in love with the island and lake and were to sad to leave. Highly recommended!

Paradise on an island

What a beautiful place! Our family had an amazing time on Frye Island and this property is just perfect. Gorgeous views, very well-maintained, all the amenities you might need. Elizabeth, the owner, was incredibly accommodating and a wonderful communicator. Frye Island is a special setting-- you feel as if you've crossed into a different world after the ferry ride. We loved the Cafe -- atmosphere relaxed and jovial. We visited during a quiet period (a little before the season started) but the location would have been peaceful even during the height of the summer. Wonderful place for a family vacation.

Fantastic property

Well maintained home, secluded yet not far from the ferry. So much light inside. Very comfortable for our party of 8. Lots to do on the island. Owners were helpful and avaialable for any of our needs. Good communication also.

My family and I had an amazing week on Frye Island!

My wife and I along with 4 older kids stayed at this great island house for a week in early August 2018 and loved every minute! The house is amazing. It was very roomy and comfortable for all 6 of us - we could spread out to do our own thing or gather in the living room or kitchen to play games, watch some TV or just hang out. The furnishings and decor are all up to date with lots of little touches that make a big difference. The couch and chair in the living room are big and comfy, the beds were also comfortable and everything seemed well maintained. The kitchen is very nice with everything we needed to cook meals and prepare snacks. There is a very large raised kitchen table where we ate and played games while enjoying a great view of the lake. The master bedroom has a raised bed that allows a great panoramic view of the lake with a ceiling fan and its own full bathroom and hallway with a closet and large bureau for lots of storage. There is also a private wrap around deck with sliding door right off the bedroom. In the basement there is a washer/dryer and another entrance to the back yard. We spent a lot of time on the deck - the patio set is very nice and comfy. There are also rocking chairs on the side deck for a cooler option. The steps going down to the water are in great shape and are easy to navigate. The beach area is sandy to begin with then gets rocky. The water is amazingly clean and refreshing ( temp was in the mid 70's I think ) and perfect for swimming. The dock is great for jumping into the water as well as getting some sun. The water is deep enough for diving into off some of the rocks and the dock, which we did all week :) The lake itself is so beautiful, clean, clear and very deep in places. Lots of boat activity on the weekends, pretty quiet during the week. We did some exploring with the kayak and canoe but needed another week to see more of the shoreline and island. Frye island is bigger than we realized and we have more to discover on our next visit. The general store / bar / ice cream place was handy to have and a couple of the beaches we visited were well maintained and clean. Check out Beach #6 for some amazing sunsets !! The ferry rides were quick & easy with no long lines. The owners Elizabeth and Kent, were great as well. Very friendly, helpful and communicative. We would like to thank them both for sharing their amazing island home with us !! The family unanimously decided to return next year :)

LIGHTHOUSE COTTAGE IS WONDERFUL

We saw the lighthouse cottage online, and thought it looked great. Our expectations were more than met. Renting on an island was very fun. We decided it was like being at a very friendly Camping type resort, but with great homes. This home had everything we could want. There were 5/6 adults at various times, and 2 small children, and we all had plenty of room. The kitchen is well stocked with anything needed, plus a huge hightop table and chairs that allowed many nights of late night game playing. The view is wonderful from the deck and the house. The owers were very nice and extremely helpful. They stopped by for a quick welcome hello and gave us many island tips. Frye Island is like a hidden treasure. The little restaurant- Fyre's Leap is a seriously delicious eat in/take out restaurant...we enjoyed anything we ordered there. The stairs at the house looked like a bit of a problem at first for our 2.5 year old granddaughter's safety- but a few well placed gates took care of that. There is something about an island that is so charming and fun, and this house added just the right amount of luxury to the fun. We would rent again in a minute when we decide on Maine.

Wonderful vacation spot

Beautiful home, wonderful island. Lots to do on the island-biking, some hiking, nice beaches lots of water fun. Four adults, three kids, plenty of room for all. Owner is very nice, hope to stay again.

Stayed here with 4 adults and 5 children. Very clean with a well equipped kitchen. Master suite with it's high bed offers a fabulous view of the lake..especially the sunrise. Small beach that was great for a swim and castlebuilding. A nice plus was the bikes, canoe and dingy that were made available to us. Owner greeted us upon our arrival. Looking forward to returning next year.

Perfect vacation house!

This is the perfect vacation house! The view and house are just like or even better than the pictures. It is unique and very comfortable. It is perfectly appointed. We got a great deal of use out of the dock for both boating and swimming. The kitchen has everything you need to cook full meals. The owners are wonderful to work with. I would recommend this property to anyone!

Very Enjoyable Waterfront Frye Island Rental

My family and I had the pleasure of renting this property for two weeks in June and it was just what the doctor ordered. If you're looking for a great place to relax, this is it. This waterfront house offered plenty of room for eight of us and had a beautiful deck that led all the way to the water. The island offers a very competitive golf course and a nice resturant which is located by the landing. The owners were also very accomondating and a pleasure to do business with. I hope that my family will get another opportunity to rent this one of a kind home on Frye Island.
