We have been coming to this location the same week for years now and absolutely love it. However, ever since the property management has changed so has the experience and the pricing.
Last year we were warned about ongoing construction. We were not expecting loud construction every weekday morning this year. We come to enjoy friends, family, the beach, and the small town atmosphere. We were met with loud noises, dust, extension cords, and debris flying. My mother-in-laws porch at her unit was covered in dust from morning construction... all of our beach towels, sandles, coolers, fishing equipment, etc. With no warning. It was promised to be cleaned and never was.
In addition, pricing increases every year. What are the rising costs really paying for? I wish we could go back to onsite management when all renters issues were remedied in real time.
Cleanliness and sterilization is on everyone's mind during the covid "pandemic". Our room was not clean. Dust and grit in the corners. No sheets for the pullout couch. We hand-washed dishes because there was literally mold growing in the dishwasher. The fridge is starting to go.
Calls to the Property management go unanswered or unreturned and no one's issues get resolved in a timely manner, if at all. This was the case for renters in multiple units this year.
We do absolutely love our unit. I hope we keep coming back. I also hope the service improves, because after this last stay, we were all discussing alternatives.
