I am from Medellin, Colombia and am an artist and psychotherapist. I consider Susurro to be an ongoing art Installation as well as the rest of the 'orange house'. Susurro means 'to murmer' in Spanish. It is a custom from Colombia to name your home - hence Susurro. My partner is a PTSD researcher, 'artist's slave' and musician - playing the mbira (thumb piano) from Zimbabwe.
We have two daughters - both graduated from college and making decisions about graduate school - which makes us old (they think), young (we know)...
We purchased Susurro with the intent of remodeling it - but ended up completely rebuilding it from the foundation up. We were the architects, draftspeople, general contractor, electrician, plumber, interior designer, painters, etc - you get the drift and we are still married - happily.
We have totally enjoyed living here and meeting all the interesting people who have stayed here from different parts of the world.
