This house is just absolutely lovely! Looks even better in person ... Super-clean throughout, well-equipped, very cool decor with nice "little touches" (like the cleverly hung brochures/menus), great variety of toys/indoor and outdoor games, etc... Would definitely stay here again! Thank you for hosting us!!!

Loved staying here for our second time

I just love staying here and everything about it. The only thing it is missing for my family is a pool table and an upstairs shower.

This hidden gem gives amazing views and lots of privacy. Great location due to hiking and breweries surrounding the areas. There’s a covered bridge within a few minute drive. Skyline drive is not far. The beauty is beyond describable.

Great place to spend a weekend.

Beautiful views from a beautiful house. We really enjoyed our stay. Hosts were extremely helpful and thoughtful. Would recommend.

Perfect family get away

After so long apart, this home offered the perfect place for my husband and kids to have a long visit with grandma. The property had tons of space, games, close to Luray for the maze, caves, and private after hours zoo tour. Highly recommend

Adorable Retreat

This home is adorable! Set back on the property with privacy and a beautiful open space and view. It was a perfect and cozy retreat with games and other options for kids and adults alike. We enjoyed our time there and would love to visit again.

Great stay in New Market

My husband and I met our daughter, son in law and granddaughters here for a four night stay. it’s a wonderful old farmhouse. It was very clean and comfortable. It has everything you need and more. Our family really enjoyed the place. Would definitely book again if we’re ever in the area, highly recommended it!

Nice property

The property and house were clean and well maintained. The ping pong table and games kept us busy since it was colder and wetter then expected. Overall it was a great place for our short stay with family.

Great Mountain Stay

My family stayed at this beautiful farmhouse over July 4th weekend and it was the perfect spot for us. The home was clean, had a ton of things for kids to play with, and had an amazing mountain view. It was secluded but also close enough to anything we needed (restaurants, grocery stores, gas, etc). The only thing I didn’t realize until we got there was the lack of central A/C which caused it to be a little warm at times. There are window units in almost every room that help as well as a bunch of box fans so it wasn’t too bad, but just something to note. Overall, great stay!

Beautiful Home

At first, it seemed a little remote but was easy access to all that we wanted to do. Very spacious house and while we didn't take advantage, back yard would be a fabulous place to have family gathering, of all ages. Loved the quietness and attention to detail owners provided. Would definitely consider another stay.

For starters, the home was very clean, had three cozy and comfortable rooms, and had all the amenities a couple of childhood friends (or a family) could need to have a comfortable stay. The location was at the foothills of some really beautiful mountains, which lent itself to stunning views of the mountains, woods, and countryside, and the sounds of nature were meditative and relaxing. In addition to all the features of this lovely home, hiking, waterfalls, and other cool outdoor activities are within driving distance. Working with our host, Victoria, was great because she set us up for an awesome experience by leaving the place stocked with towels and other bath amenities as well as providing a cute welcome basket with water and some snacks! It was as beautiful as advertised and well worth the stay. I highly recommend this Woodland Gap as a wonderful getaway.Bryan G.

Woodland Gap

This was out first time using VRBO and staying at someones property rather than a hotel. We absolutely loved staying here. Its just far enough away from everything to have privacy but close enough to be minutes from everything near by. Plenty of room for kids to play. Its cozy, rustic, very clean and had everything you would need for a stay. We stayed 2 nights and wish we would have booked longer. We didnt want to leave. The directions to get there were clear as well as the directions for check out. We will try to stay here again when we are in the area in the fall.

All you could want

My six year old daughter’s words as we left sums it up perfectly “Goodbye lovely house which has everything I could possibly want.” Attractive location with tasteful decor and all the amenities you could need including a swing and games and even sidewalk chalk. My 78 year old mother was with us too and we all had a good time and loved the house.

A few hiccups but overall good stay

We arrived much later in night and the driveway is kind of hidden and no way to identify it. Also some Windex / bathroom cleaning supplies / vaccum / zip locks may be good addition to leave in a house meant to entertain families with children . But other than that great location.

Farm House

Overall, a great stay at this farm house. Very roomy and well laid out for a family stay. We had 2 teenagers along, so they appreciated their own room. Place is clean and comfortable. We used the fire pit in the back, which had plenty of wood available. Peaceful location in valley. Check-in was easy and all directions were clear. We forgot shampoo & coffee pods, so having some provided there was nice. One thing to note was small odor outside - property is situated near farms and we had a fertilizer(?) smell. Not too overwhelming and not sure if we were there just at the wrong (right?) time, but it was noticable when we were outside. Would not stop us from staying again -- a very nice place.

We had a wonderful and relaxing get away in this beautifully maintained and perfectly decorated home. The basket of snacks were also a nice touch that we took advantage of! After 23 years of marriage I played checkers with my husband for the first time! We will remember this trip fondly…..

Woodland Gap getaway

A charm of a house. Love the old farmhouse. Very clean and cozy. Close to the towns of Nee Battle and Mount Jackson. Was a perfect place for the weekend getaway to Shenandoah NP.
