Lovely Getaway

My husband and I stayed at this house for a long weekend. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Check in was straightforward, and directions were very clear. We had a great time, and would love to return when everything has thawed!

Winter retreat

Very nice place away from it all. Adequately equipped kitchen. Gas fireplace kept us warm all weekend. Bed was very comfortable. Creek was frozen over, so guess we’ll have to come back in the summer. Recommend highly.

Peaceful beautiful getaway

The utilities in the cabin was up to date and better than the average rental space I've been in. The view was great and we enjoyed our winter wonderland view.

The cabin was nice and we liked that it was next to water. There are just a few things that we weren't impressed with. When we arrived the driveway wasn't plowed and the deck wasn't shoveled. As much as we paid for 2 nights I would think this would be done. Another thing is that the security camera that is outside of the house is setup to where you can see it inside the house.. If you can see the camera the camera can see you. So if you walk out of the bedroom naked, they are going to see you. As a suggestion invest in some blinds for the kitchen sink window and semi-sheer curtains for the picture window. It was nice looking out the picture window, but not when the sun was going down. The sun will blind you. Positive notes are the bed was pretty comfy, it is updated and it was nice with the gas fireplace.

A great retreat

We loved our stay! It was the perfect place for a quiet getaway before the busy holiday season. With so much nature in the area to explore, we came home feeling relaxed and rested. The cabin was very comfortable, clean, and had all of the amenities we needed for the weekend.

Amazing

This cabin is exactly what a Northwoods cabin should be. Everything was so new, nice and clean. For anyone that wants somewhere more remote to stay with plenty of access to the North Shore/SHT, this a great place to stay.

north shore visit

the only hold up was the code to get into the cabin was in an attachment sent but with cell service it would not download on site. vrbo service helped us with getting the code so not a big deal.could use some new pots and pans! the road going into the woods could be better marked. it was nice that there was amostion light near the cabin for late night arrivals. very cozy and comfortable!

An absolute dream!

Incredible property that I almost want to leave a terrible review for so we can keep this place a secret!!! Secluded but full of beauty. The creek was so fun to explore, the house was perfectly stocked with what we needed, and just close enough to the parks that we were there first thing in the morning!! We will be back!!

Remote, relaxing, quiet, comfortable.

Property was as advertised. We had a good time there, both recooperating from the day's hikes and travels, and just being private with no other folks withing sight or sound. Used the porch as drying place for washed clothing.

Fantastic Views and Location

Great Getaway

Great Get-A-Way!

The cabin was great, the flowing creek sounds were peaceful and powerful all at the same time. Off the beaten path, but easy access to amenities and adventure. When we come back, this will be a great place to stay again! Thank you to the host for excellent communication and follow up. Would highly recommend to anyone else looking at booking this place!

Cabin

It was amazing to listen to the river all day and night and drink coffee in the morning basking in the sun and nature. There were no neighbors around and everything was extremely peaceful. I can see myself rebooking the cabin every year as a peaceful retreat to recharge. We visited the Finnish festival and went fishing and canoeing. We enjoyed being so isolated but also so close to Lake Superior. The cabin was very clean and ready to go. There were very clear instructions on how to work everything and check out expectations. I appreciated it.

Perfect secluded getaway!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. When we crossed the bridge over Crown Creek we knew we were definitely off the beaten path. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The WiFi was a nice surprise, but it only worked the first evening. But that’s ok, we were there to unplug. I would highly recommend to friends and family who want a quiet and secluded getaway, yet still close enough to the busier areas along highway 61.
