We enjoyed our stay at this place. Overall it was a great experience. The views of the beach and pool are second to none. The condo was very clean, minus one couch pillow smelling like pee. Perfect layout for a 1 or 2 small families to stay together. Will be booking another trip at this condo next year

Beautiful Condo

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful condo! We wish the pool had been heated as the water was extremely cold, so we were all very disappointed by that. Other than that, everything was really great!!

Staying at Silver Shells property is amazing. The grounds, the pool and the ocean view, Par Excellent. The unit we stayed in was in the St. Marten building and it was beautiful and the corner unit location was amazing. Everything was easy to get to. The pool, the beach, all just a very short distance. The location of the property is situated so getting to other parts of the Destin area is very easy with little driving distance. Defin itely will be staying here again.

Very Classy

Great place with all the perks. Right on the beach. Great view of beach and pool. Walking distance from restaurants and live music. Parking garage to elevator to door was only a few steps. Condo was very updated with newer furnishings. Lots of space. We had a great time !

We had a wonderful time with awesome weather! I loved the updated condo. The decor was very nicely done. It was very bright and open. I would definitely recommend getting a new dishwasher and refrigerator to go with all the new updates! We would definitely stay here again though! Super nice! 😊

Best Condo Ever

We have stayed at Silver Shells in the Maarten Bld last 5 years. We absolutely loved this unit 701 this year!! It was not only decorated beautifully in each room but the beds were all so comfortable!! Slept so well. Kitchen was also well stocked. . We loved the u shaped couch that we could all 6 have a place to sit comfortably ‘ It’s our very favorite and most beautifully condo we have ever stayed in we plan to be back at 701 Maarten bldg next year. Looks exactly like the pictures!

We stay at silver shells every year and have been for 5 years. We love to try different condos for fun within silver shells to mix it up and this place has been our favorite thus far! Loved the views, clean, great beach and pool toys for the kids, well decorated, we will book this one again! Few small negatives, the air was set for us, we would not make cooler and while it was pretty chilly when we were down there this would have been a major issue mid summer. I didn’t didn’t reach out for help because it wasn’t an issue for us but could have been. Secondly, they charge 50 dollars for any missing bracelets which is very pricey considering they are super big and easily fell off. Lastly, it was a little inconvenient to have to go off property to pick up the keys AND bringing them back which is just an extra stop that wasn’t needed when you have little kids. All and all great place, pictures are spot on and we will book again!

Lovely condo w/ beach access…come with a hard hat

Silver shells community no doubt offers wonderful condos, spectacular views, and a expansive lovely (heated) pool. My kids loved the amenities, playing corn hole, having some beach toys. It’s a great location, away from the major foot traffic. The inside of the condo was clean, updated and fairly well appointed. All told you might be wondering why not a 5 star review? From the day we arrived there was construction in the unit above, sawing, drilling and hammering for three days of our stay. The cleaner had to come sweep to remove a bag of sawdust from the patio, chairs and tables (rental company was at least responsive). Lovely to have sawdust blowing in your face while trying to enjoy an ocean view. There was no communication amongst HOA and owners to avoid renting a space directly below a construction zone. In addition to our building the Silver shells property adjacent was under heavier construction with scaffolding maneuvering up and down many floors, sawing much of the day as well.

Great place to stay with just a couple of issues

Really did love staying at StMaarten in this unit in spite of the below listed complications: #1: communication between VRBO/Emerald Coast/SilverShells/Compass - to many parties involved - getting different answers between the 4 entities. Emerald Coast was good about answering the phone when needed. #2: middle bedroom bath is located IN the kitchen area. So this would be the main reason we'll not be staying in unit 701. I suppose if you had children it might not be a big deal but with all adults this was "uncomfortable". #3: On checkout day while packing suitcases in the garage and returning to the unit, 9AM, the cleaning "family" were found digging thru our personal items. Totally unacceptable. They had already taken my daughters sun hat and put it in their "stack".. We were even leaving 45 minutes prior to the final checkout time of 10AM.

Beautiful Condo. Poor Property Mgmt Company.

The Pros: This condo is pristine and the amenities on the resort were really convenient. We especially enjoyed the beach bar and playground onsite. Cons: The pool was not cold it was freezing which was disappointing considering we were told that it’s heated starting in October. Also, the bathtub didn’t work in the master and was never fixed during our stay. We played phone tag with the property mgmt company and finally heard back that they would fix it between 1-3 on Monday but they never showed. This was two days after we first called bc they aren’t open on Sundays. Also, the checkout requirements were not inclusive of what they asked for when I dropped the keys off. Minor detail but annoying. Although this condo is beautiful and location ideal, our poor experience with the property mgmt company would prevent me from booking it again.

Beautiful condo. Love love love the views, private elevator, pool, and beach. Beautiful sun rise from balcony Absolutely stunning unit and resort. Will be back next year. Needed a few items: broom, dish towels, rubber mixing spatula, pot holders. Very hard to remove food from Oven without pot holders. Otherwise 5 star all the way!

My one and only complaint ifor this amazing condo was the battub was draining all over the unit and I couldn't use it. I chose my stays on the bathtub mostly and proximity to the beach.

July Stay

Great place to stay if you are in Destin. Looks just like the pictures and as described. We had 8 of us, 2 adults and the rest were teenagers and we all enjoyed. Chair service is great, it’s better to stop in during the day and reserve your chairs for your stay instead of the morning you need them. The line is very long in morning, at least when we were there. Pool area is nice and large. Walmart is right across the street which is nice since there’s so much traffic. Only minor suggestion would be to stock kitchen trash bags and we couldn’t find any kitchen wash cloths. More blankets would be nice as well. Checkin and out is not at location, but that was fine for us since we drove right by that location.

Beautiful unit yet not cleaned well.

View was amazing and decor beautiful but paying over $7000 for a week and not having a spotless unit is unacceptable. Bottoms of our feet were very dirty the first day, hair in my daughters bed, hair in all bathrooms and urine on toilet seat in master. I brought cleaning supplies and was disgusted when finished mopping that the mop pad was black. We are not hard to please and after I cleaned the unit we had a wonderful week but would probably not choose this management company again if the cleaning is this poor.

Spring Break - multigeneration family trip

Beautiful facility and condo. Pool needs to be warmer - it was supposed to be heated through April but it wasn’t. Excellent location. Not crowded even though it was spring break. We will go back.
