Having stayed at other apartments in this complex we expected a higher standard than we experienced in this one.
There was a lot of noisy building work straight outside the apartment, which we realise wasn't the owners fault, but we would have appreciated being informed about it . It was really noisy from 8a.m till between 6 and 7 p.m depending how long the guys worked, especially when they had concrete due for delivery.
The condition of the cooker, and fridge wasn't to the usual standard and the overall homely feel was sadly not there.
The lady who met us and gave us the keys was very polite, helpful and spoke very good English she sorted out a couple of things when we contacted her.
The location on the complex isn't the best , again the owner can't do anything about that.
On the plus side, the beds were very comfortable and the actual complex is in a great place for shops, restaurants etc.
If the owners just give some thought to some welcoming extras I'm sure it would be appreciated by their future guests. I understand they have only recently taken ownership of the apartment.
I wish them well and hope it goes well for them, but we won't be returning to this particular apartment.
Some suggestions...new towels, spare bedding, some bottled water in the fridge for when guests arrive and ensure the fridge & freezer are defrosted ready for use. The temperature and the oven dial marking have worn away and need relabelling.. and make sure the dishwasher filter has been emptied , it was full and smelly !!
The weather was great, the pool area was as always lovely. We made the most of it and as we always do, enjoyed our time in Lagos , the beaches are great and the marina restaurants are within a short walking distance and didn't fail to please .
