This is a beautiful property with many amenities!
PROs: This large property was filled with many amenities. A large orchard, many avocado trees, a putting green, swim pool, gym and several other fun activities. A lot of things to explore!
Cons:
The house does have white carpets in most rooms and not ideal for children who were walking around outside in the orchard or walking to near by park and enjoying the outdoors unless taking off shoes at door. We did try to remember to remove their shoes but basically they are in and out all day and almost impossible to put shoes on and off a 2 and 4 yr old all day. I would be sure to remove shoes at door if staying at this property even if adults.
Please note there are NO rooms with full window treatments. All bedrooms have sun coming in at 5:30-6:00am and that was a little problem with two small kids and just sleep in general, but was a great help in getting up early and going to bed very early! The open windows in the main part of the house made the house extremely hot during the days and took a long time to cool down in the evening. The downstairs living area did stay at a nice temperature during the day.
Also, please note that there are pets (specifically cats) at this property which we were not aware of and my husband and I are very allergic to them. We would be fine all day when we were at the property we are remodeling and get to the rental house and immediately start sneezing, itchy eyes, nose running., etc... We did not have this issue the last week we were in town at the Grand Hotel so I do feel it was our allergies to the cat(s).
Last, there is a 15K deposit that was not disclosed before selecting property. It was not really a huge issue but it is quite a bit larger than we usually see in any of our previous rentals.
All in all it was a very nice stay and Nancy is a sweet, thoughtful and helpful hostess! I would highly recommend to anyone who is not bothered by the few cons that specifically affected our family.
