Fantastic stay with friends

We had such a great time here. The house was very clean, with plenty of books, games, puzzles, etc for entertainment. We loved the stunning views. We would definitely stay here again, the proximity to the town was great!

Wonderful and cozy December stay at the Nest

I've lost track how many times we've stayed at the Nest. We love the house, the location, and no matter what season, we have a wonderful visit.Anika is an excellent host and always responsive to any questions we have. We appreciate her flexibility allowing us to check in early on our first day.The house is always in excellent condition and generously stocked with everything you need. We will certainly be back again!

Magical Spot

This home is even better than the pictures. The views are stunning; interior is soothing and well-stocked with everything you need and more; and communication and processes for managing the reservation were seamless and easy. We highly recommend.

Family getaway

Beautiful home, perfect views and room for everyone! This home has it all. The kids loved having the ping pong table, and all the games. One thing we would have loved was easier beach access, lots of big rocks. But you can walk down the street to get beach access easy! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will be back!

September Stay

The Eastsound residence was absolutely beautiful, offering stunning views that we thoroughly enjoyed throughout our stay. The attention to detail in the house was impressive, from the fresh flowers on the table to the binoculars thoughtfully provided for watching wildlife in the water. The location was perfect, and we had more than enough space to relax comfortably. We highly recommend this place and would love to visit again!

50th wedding anniversary family vacation

Beautiful, clean, spacious, well-equipped house in a perfect location for family fun. Deck, lawn, walkable rocky waterfront access, pretty gardens, and close to town. A big thank you to the owners for sharing their home with us.

Great house in a wonderful location.

The house was beautiful, comfortable and well suited to our group of 8, including 2 preschoolers. They even had a high chair and porta crib for the littlest one. Kitchen had everything we needed. It was peaceful and relaxing. Would love to stay here again.

Perfect Memorial Day Stay

The house was set up perfect for our group with lots of sleeping areas and extra things around the house to use. Waking up to the ocean view and watching the sunset nightly was amazing.

Our Favorite Place

This was our second stay at The Nest, and our fifth trip to Orcas. We were four couples - all seniors. Everyone LOVED the house, especially the large back deck where we enjoyed many meals. Kitchen was well stocked, and the grocery store was a five minute drive. Bedrooms are large and comfortable. This location is excellent - centrally located on the island and near Eastsound. Beautiful house with spectacular waterfront views!

Amazing home

House was absolute perfection and communication with the host was fantastic. My kids loved getting to play on the beach all day and search for new treasures. The home itself really lends itself to host a large group and the kitchen area is the perfect prep area to create lovely meals.

Great Beachfront Property

The facility was spacious and accommodating with several cool spaces for the kids to do their thing. Great views plus convenient location in the middle of all the Orcas activities. Was the perfect size for our group of 10 this holiday weekend. Definitely recommended.

Perfect Vacation

This home was perfect for our family. The house was spacious, had a lot of kids items, and easy access to town. We walked down to the beach everyday. The views from the home are beautiful. We would 100% stay here again.

Exactly what we needed.

Stayed with family for grandma’s birthday. I couldn’t find anything to complain about here if I tried. Excellent book selection and the ping pong table was a hit. I’d book this place again in a heartbeat.

Our family vacation on Orcas Island 6/7-6/14/2024

The OMG experience of our arrival looking out over the water; the magnificence of the home with extraordinary views out every window; the comfort & cleanliness; reading books from the stuffed bookshelves, especially the kids section; the secret room; the ping pong table; the responsiveness of the host. For many generations our families enjoyed coming to Orcas Island for vacations. In the early 90’s we decided to build a home and raise our family here. We had 5 homeschooled kids who loved having the beach as their classroom and doing their part in helping build our home. If you look closely you will notice some creative touches that they added to the house! We are now empty nesters and have moved on to a smaller home in the woodland area of Orcas. We are excited to share The Nest with other families. We love tourists because they see our island with fresh eyes and are awed by the beauty all around us. Hundreds of times I have heard people exclaim, "I don't know how you get any dishes washed here, I would just stand and stare out this kitchen window all day!"
Our daughter, Anika, moved back to the island in 2016 to raise her family and is thrilled to be managing her childhood home.
