Las Olas Retreat

The house from the outside looked small - but there were many rooms with large beds and a large open dining/living area - 7 of us had plenty of room for a 3 day weekend. Owner was quick to respond. One minor issue that was fixed quickly -

Great hosts!

We stayed at the house for my bachelorette party and the house was very clean and the hosts were amazing and very accommodating! The only inconvenience was that if you travel in March the pool is hard to use due to the pollen and leaves that shed from the trees in the yard. Besides that unfortunate but unavoidable circumstance we have no complaints about the home!

Fabulous location

This house has pluses and minuses. It is in a great neighborhood and it’s near the beach, wonderful restaurants, shops etc. Also just 10 min to FLL airport. We didn’t even need a car. Uber was perfect. The owners were great at communicating and very responsive to us. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of dishes, glasses, mugs. Great for large groups. The house itself has an unusual layout so it would work better for some groups than for others. There are 4 bedrooms on main floor. Three rooms have large beds and one room has bunk beds. Note: Two of these bedrooms are connected by a shared bath and the back bedroom is reached only by going outside or by walking thru the front bedroom. The upstairs is a converted attic space with a VERY low ceiling, and a 1/2 bath…definitely best for kids or teens. That said, there’s no TV up there so our kids all used the only common area on the first floor for cartoons, etc. not ideal. The outdoor area is small and has no space for outdoor dining/picnic table. And the pool is quite small and narrow. Actually great for kids who are new swimmers. So- pluses and minuses.

Great location and space for large groups

For starters, the communication with the host was amazing. I always received a response quickly and due to our flight times they helped accommodate with check-in and check-out times. There was plenty of space for 14 people and we loved hanging outside in the patio area. The only thing to note is that the pool is very small, but since we went in December it wasn’t quite swimming weather.and this is reflected in the photos. The location was also great to go to Las Olas or the beach. Would recommend staying here!

Friends trip

Excellent stay, location, communication, all of the above. Very walkable to liquor store, restaurants, etc. AC issue occurred and host was extremely responsive and got someone out there to fix it asap. Accurate pictures, enjoyable back yard with plenty of space for us. Would stay there again.

Well-appointed home in a convenient location

We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks stay. The two ensuite bedrooms were perfect, with really comfortable king beds with super-soft linens. The house was exactly as shown in the photos and was clean, comfortable and recently renovated. We can't say enough about the exceptional care which the owner, David, took to ensure that our visit was a success, which it was.

Plenty of space, great location!

David and Melissa’s home has plenty of space for large groups and is centrally located to the best that Ft. Lauderdale has to offer. They were extremely accommodating hosts, definitely recommend!

A bachelorette paradise

What an amazing home! The hosts were so wonderfully accommodating! We had an issue with the oven not working night one and the host was so responsive and had the oven fixed ASAP! Every time we had a question the host responded so quickly! Highly highly recommend this home! Also only 10 minutes from airport, the beach, and even closer to the Las Olas Blvd, the main strip!

Fabulous Rental

We had a wonderful stay at the house. We had 10 people and everyone was comfortable. The table and the open layout made for such a fun time where everyone always felt included. The rooms were big and spacious and made us feel like we truly were on vacation. The location is great too. 10 minutes from the airport, the beach, and the main strip of restaurants, so even large ubers are cheap. It was also walking distance to the liquor store and the Walgreens. We love David and Melissa too - They were so responsive and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay!

Great spot for a large group!

This property was fantastic! Great location (quick Uber ride to beach, restaurants and bars), comfy beds, large outdoor space, large kitchen and entertaining spaces. The only reason I am giving this a 4/5 stars is because one of the fire alarms went off at 5am one morning for no reason other than a faulty alarm. We had to call the fire department to turn the alarms off and apparently this has happened before. Otherwise great spot for a bachelorette party!

We had such an amazing time in Fort Lauderdale and a huge contribution to that was staying at THIS property!!! Perfect for a large group. Comfy beds with super soft sheets. Location was minutes from the airport and other local spots. The hosts were great. The rest of my bachelorette party loved this house too. Thank you!!!

Wonderful house

This house is exactly as pictured. I stayed for my bachelorette weekend with 12 girls. The house is very spacious and the beds are comfortable. We made dinner and breakfast daily. There is a liquor store down the block and we preordered groceries to be delivered via instacart to arrive when we got to the house. We mostly stayed on olas Blvd which is a 5 min cab to most bars/restaurants. The pool is WARM we went January 2022 and was so surprised it was more like a jacuzzi than a pool. We all had a great time and highly recommend this house. The owner was responsive immediately to any issues we had during our stay which was very appreciated.

Great House in Great Location

My girl friends and I visited Fort Lauderdale for a Bachelorette gathering and this was the perfect house and location. The owners were accommodating when we arrived and the house was immaculate. The house was even bigger than I imagined and had a great set up with tons of bedrooms and bathrooms. The large dining room table and couch were key! All of the beds were very comfortable and you could tell the house was professionally cleaned from top to bottom before we arrived. Everywhere we went was a 5-10 minute Uber ride and super convenient. The owners were very responsive and when we ran out of trash bags they had bags delivered the same day, which I really appreciated. I just wish that the ice maker in the freezer worked, but we walked a quick minute down the road to the liquor store and bought plenty of ice easily! I would definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting FTL and am grateful Melissa and David allow others to stay in their beautiful home.

Perfect for a large group of friends!

The property was just as shown in the online photos. It was the perfect space for the ten of us to stay for the weekend! Short uber ride to anywhere you want to go. Melissa & David were great to deal with. Would definitely stay here again!

Book this house!!

I want to start by saying that the hosts, Melissa and David, are wonderful! They are so responsive and went above and beyond by providing a local restaurant guide, dropping off a replacement part for the bathroom, etc. The house comfortably fit 14 (we did bring an air mattress to allow people to spread out more). The house was very clean. Kitchen was fantastic and fully stocked. Grill worked. Jets and heating in the pool worked. The pool was really nice. I wasn't sure how it would be given its unique shape but it was very fun to hang out in. We walked to Las Olas Blvd one night for dinner, about a 0.9 mile walk to our particular restaurant and we really enjoyed it. Ubers were very easy to get so we ubered everywhere else. It was a quick 10 min uber to the beach (if you didn't get stuck waiting for a bridge!) As someone else mentioned one room is a Jack & Jill style where you have to walk through one to get to another. They are fully separated by a bathroom, hallway w/closet, and kitchenette. You can also exit the back door and walk around to the kitchen as to not disturb the front bedroom, so it isn't an issue at all. The upstairs loft area has 2 nicely separated beds. It also has an empty little alcove which was perfect for an air mattress. The 10pm curfew is serious and the neighbors will complain. If we come back to Fort Lauderdale we will definitely stay here again!

Great Location and House!

The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen was great, and the pool was fantastic! Just a quick 7 minute ride to be at great local spots and the beach! The pool and backyard were awesome.
