This beautiful log home was ideal for our group of six (one couple flew in from Georgia, and the other two couples drove from Washington state). In the evenings, we were able to easily gather in the living space to watch TV or play games at the table that was large enough to seat all of us. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we might need, from cooking utensils and serving dishes, to a variety of spices in the cabinet. We also appreciated having access to the laundry facilities. The surrounding yard and gardens are well-maintained, and we enjoyed sitting on the deck after returning from a hike each day. Overall, we found the house to be very comfortable (including the beds!), and we remarked on the care taken to decorate with the nature/Glacier theme.
We took advantage of the nearby grocery store and pastry/coffee/ice cream shop. There are limited restaurants nearby, but we enjoyed dinner at a local Mexican restaurant (very popular) as well as Glacier Lodge, all within walking distance.
We hiked each day on trails that were anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour away. What we didn't realize until our last day in East Glacier was that there was a trail a few steps away from the home! We would have checked it out, had we known about it.
This is a home that met all of our needs, and we highly recommend others consider staying here.
