Nice Stay

The property was in very good condition and we liked the location. We were close to the beach and some fun adjacent towns including Old Orchard Beach, Kennebunkport and Ogunquit.

Maine Beach House

Our family of five stayed with another family of four and the house was plenty big- we had a couple extra beds. Great location to the beach and walkable to restaurants. We had a good trip to the east coast!

Great vacation with friends!

We had a great vacation in Scarborough! The beach is beautiful and quiet and its proximity is convenient, especially with kids. A few things could be improved, including the beds. We had a great time overall!

Great vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Blue doors by the sea. Great location, 3 minutes from a beautiful sandy beach. The house had every thing we wished for. There were a few little glitch when we arrived but management took care of getting it all corrected in no time.

Great location and size

We liked the mother-in-law suite and the number of rooms. The kitchen needed to have better pots and pans (I actually bought a non-stick pan to use for the week). The roof top deck was great for relaxing. Easy walk to the beach.

Fun spot

Close to the beach, trolley stop and easy drive to Resturants and friends. Had a great time. The grill is not pellet and the fire pit is not gas but we used them with no problem. There were some beach chairs to use on the beach. Nice deck on top. The drive in had a large pothole.

Stay for family of 11

My overall impression was that the place was REALLY clean. It was also well-stocked, and we loved the close proximity to the beach. I only wish that we would have been given a heads-up on someone stopping by to clean the grill at dinner time on the night we had planned a BBQ, otherwise the communication of the host was good.

The blue house

Had a great time. Only one problem with house, no cable or satellite tv, only net flex. Owners were great, house was close to everything we needed.

Nice house

Nice house with a wonderful location next to the beach. Really neat and recently renovated. Will go back without hesitation. However, the beach in front on the house is covered in algae so we end up taking the care to go elsewhere. I don't know if it's always like this or we have just been unlucky.

Great Family House for a Vacation

Our family loved our stay at “Blue Doors by the Sea.” Upon arrival we were all pleased how utterly spotless the house was, and totally ready for our arrival. The kitchen was stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans and dishes so we never worried about preparing our family dinners. Rooms were stocked with towels, beds made, and a great perk: each room had a mini-split so we were all able to control the temperature to our own comfort! A big tv (we didn’t use it, but it was there) and a comfortable living area that fit us all, plus a great outdoor area with a grill/smoker that we made the most of! We found the owners of the property very responsive to our calls, emails and texts - both before and during our stay. Highly recommend this great place!

Blue Doors By the Sea was a lovely home for our family vacation. The location was perfect, a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach, close to Old Orchard amusement park and shops as well as kayaking. We travelled easily to Kennebunkport, Ogunquit and Portland for whale watching, dining and shopping!We stayed in the downstairs bedroom which had a locked owners closet so unfortunately we were unable to hang anything up. It would be helpful to have many hooks installed on the walls and back of the door. Two families (8 people) stayed upstairs but had no place to hang their wet towels. Hooks are also needed there as well.The in-law suite was a very nice, with spacious rooms but also had no closet. Hooks, please!We loved the upper deck with a small view of the ocean. We took advantage of the front patio, grill and fire pit! Overall, we had a great time!

Blue Doors by the Sea

We enjoyed our stay at Blue Doors by the Sea. We were just 5 minutes from the beach, and experienced some gorgeous sun rise walks. It had been many years since we were in Maine in the fall, and the foliage did not disappoint.

Bien situé, propreté laisse à désirer, cuisine mal équipée

Maison très bien située à 3 min à pied de la plage, belle plage tranquille et propre. La maison pourrait être mieux entretenue, la propreté laissant à désirer à notre arrivé (planchers pas propres, saleté sous les meubles, garde-robe de la cuisine, dessus de calorifères…). La cuisine n’est pas très bien équipée: vieux chaudrons, pas de bons couteaux, manque de vaisselle. Nous nous attendions à mieux pour le prix payé.
