Very cosy

We enjoyed staying at the estuary and hunkering down despite the storm. This was our 3rd stay.

What a rare find. The Inn is located in a secure and quiet estuary, and it’s not to be missed. We were surrounded by nature in a wonderfully decorated suite. We saw eagles, bats, beavers and so many birds… Harold is a wonderful host. Can’t wait to go back!

Peaceful retreat

My second stay in the Lagoon Suite at Inn the Estuary was just as wonderful as the first time. It's furnished like a high-end hotel room but also has a small, but adequate, kitchen. I'll definitely be back.

Couples getaway

We spent 2 nights in the Lagoon Suite. It was lovely! The bed was very comfortable, and the suite had all the basic necessities. The outdoor was very relaxing. It was enjoyable to watch all the birds on the patio, and the beavers in the evening. The host Harold was very welcoming, and wished us well on our departure. We would certainly recommend this place to others!

Spectacular Wildlife Santuary

My wife and I spent 2 outstanding days at the Lagoon Suite at the Inn the Estuary in Nanoose Bay on Vancouver Island, B.C. The self contained suite,with all of the amenities of a 5 star hotel, was absolutely spectacular with floor to ceiling panoramic views of the wildlife estuary lagoon. Awesome hosts, great stay and we definitely will be back!

Unique setting in estuary marsh environment, created in consultation with indigenous landowners. Elegantly designed to meld seamlessly into the verdant surroundings. Management personable and quite accessible. Outstanding.

Beautiful getaway

This was located in a beautiful peaceful area- we loved the nature and the variety of birds we saw outside the windows. It was close to a lot of trails and forested areas. Harold was an amazing host - very helpful and friendly. You can immediately tell the pride he has in his inn and had lots of tips to enjoy the area. The suite was very comfortable and well laid out. We would definitely recommend anyone to visit for a great peaceful getaway. We will be back for sure when we come out to the island!

Always a wonderful stay

We were really looking forward to our stay having had to cancel several times in the last three years of the pandemic. The Lagoon suite is so well set up and we enjoyed sitting looking out at the estuary with its birds and the little beaver family. Harold provided a friendly greeting and showed us everything as well as checking with us that all had been well as we left. We look forward to a return visit.

Perfect getaway

We love coming back to the Lagoon Suite at the Inn on the Estuary. Harold always greets us with an update on the birds and wildlife in the area. The lovely gift for guests was a beautifully painted mandala stone which I will use at my desk at home. The purple beautyberries were a spectacular sight in the fall foliage.

the property is so quiet and beautiful. Loved the binoculars to look at all the variety of birds. So lovely to wake up to the 'local music' of these birds. enjoyed the deck and sitting in the sunshine. Just tranquil. this property is so well cared for and loved it is obvious. The interior decorating is lovely. Harold was great on information when needed.

Absolutely awesome - we’ll be back!

Renting this property was a positive and pleasant experience from start to finish. Angela was very responsive and answered all of our questions ahead of time, and Harold (the property owner/manager on site) was very friendly, incredibly helpful and just a pleasure to visit with whenever we ran into him. These folks have thought of everything and designed both the suites and the property with their guests’ relaxation and privacy in mind. Every small detail is looked after, and the property is absolutely immaculate (both inside the suite, as well as the property itself). We will be back and will recommend to everyone we know. Hope to see you soon, Harold! Thank you again for a peaceful and relaxing stay, and for making us feel so welcome!
