This property is perfectly located for anyone wishing to explore the Kenai Peninsula and Seward. It is opposite the small craft harbor, but is one or two blocks away from noisy highway and more trafficked streets. The living room and dining room have beautiful views of the mountains across the harbor. We walked to our boat tours easily and also to restaurants at the harbor that we wanted to try, thus avoiding parking fees and hassle. Parking is without extra charge at the VRBO. This property is well-located for the drive to Exit Glacier, a main objective of many visitors. Living quarters are clean, well-maintained, in a safe location, attractive and quiet. They are on the second floor of the building. The manager, Steven, met us promptly when we arrived and showed us around the property. He also met us when we checked out. He was very kind and helpful before our trip, when our schedule changed during the booking process, and we had to re-book dates.
We drove a very short distance from the VRBO into downtown Seward (historic area) on some days, and enjoyed our time there. Because the historic downtown area is crowded with limited parking, some visitors may wish to walk there from the VRBO also, although it's a few blocks farther. A shoreline trail that is easily accessible from the small craft harbor, thus also easily accessible from the VRBO, takes walkers along the shore to the original Iditarod starting point in historic downtown Seward, and to restaurants and other sites for visitors. Anyone who enjoys walking could easily stroll downtown on this path from the VRBO. We loved Seward and we thoroughly enjoyed our VRBO stay. We spent 4 nights in Seward. We could have spent one or two more day without exhausting the possibilities. This is a charming community and an excellent VRBO. Highly recommend.
