The description in the property ad does not do it justice. The building with two apartments stands at the edge of a huge meadow. It took me about 10 minutes for a leisurely walk to the far end; on the other side of a fence there are fields, and on their other side the Seine. Sculptures are scattered throughout the park. I enjoyed exploring them during early morning and early evening strolls.
Our apartment was sparkling new, evidently a recent renovation of an old farm building. Parking is easy, inside the park walls.
We stayed in this location in order to visit Giverny, and were surprised to find a number of other pretty and interesting sites. If your goal is Giverny, I recommend adding a second day to explore the neighboring countryside.
Monique is a marvellous and generous host. We needed to package a fencing foil (European family heirloom) to qualify as checkable luggage on the USA-bound return flight. Monique and
M. Jacques proposed to use PVC pipe. They found pipe, cut it to size, and washed it. The resulting package worked perfectly. We have stayed with excellent hosts, but none who went to such trouble to be helpful.
