Cheapest spot at sugar Mtn... For a reason. Run down and neglected property. Construction debris laying around, nails on deck and in parking lot. Nonworking exterior light and icy mildew slick walkway.The hike back up from lodge is far more precarious and daunting than it looks, don't try it.

Keep looking

The proximity to the slopes is the best aspect of this property. From the cleanliness, to musty smell and old worn down appliances the property has numerous issues. Communication with the property management group was not replied to during our stay. We would not stay here again.

Nice

it was a very nice place. It was clean for the most part. The downstairs toilet was messed up and would not flush. The downstairs bathroom also had hair all in the shower. The downstairs bedroom also had random hairs all in the bed and pillows. Other than that the place was clean, and very nice.

A relaxing condo in the woods.

This condo was a delightful surprise. It had everything we needed, was nicely kept up and you could see Grandfather mountain from the patio.

Cozy Sugar Mountain condo In great location

Clean, inviting condo on Sugar Mountain, very convenient to Beech Mtn, Boone, Blowing Rock and more. Deck overlooks the mountain side. Will definitely stay there again!

Terrible start ended great

We were originally scheduled at a condo in sugar mountain that was listed as non smoking.. on arrival it was obviously a unit where ALOT of smoking has occurred. We have an asthmatic in our family and this was disastrous and it was very late and we had to call Vacasa and miraculously Laura worked VERY hard locating this town home we stayed in and it was perfect. Great location and perfect for our family..what could have been terrible turned into a wonderful family get away. Thanks Laura

Home Away From Home

Not that it was an issue thankfully but it would have been nice to know that the location was in the middle of the mountain itself ahead of time. Finding the location with a GPS was interesting and driving up the windy narrow roads with a Suburban was a bit iffy at times but we made it. The layout was spot on with what was displayed online however the residence was dirty. I was so disgusted with the cleanliness of our home away from home. I had to clean all of the bathrooms and the kitchen before we could use them, toothpaste spit was everywhere and unknown hairs, etc. Additionally, there were broken hangers and clothes in the closets. One of my last complaints was the wifi password was labeled wrong so we spent the entire first night with no wifi or tv.

I think overall everything was good could of been just a lil more clean (oven, back patio trash was left) were the silverware was was dirty) but it was nice we would stay again

Accurate description

Overall, this place is what we needed for our trip to Sugar Mountain. It was conveniently located and easy to get to. However, it’s a stretch to call this a ski-in, ski-out. It’s ok to get down to the lodge, but difficult to get back up.. quite the hike! The condo is definitely outdated, buts it’s a roof over your head!

Sugar condo

Condo is really cute but needs to be updated! Very strong mildew smell and strong odor from the wood burning fireplace. May possibly be from the old carpet that is In need of immediate replacement. Not walking distance to the slopes unless you want to go down a lot of high heels and employee parking lot. Overall not a horrible place to stay on sugar just needs some TLC

It sufficed

The location is perfect for activities on Sugar mountain. It’s tucked to high away in the mountain. The unit was clean for the most part but there was a little bit of mold in the first level tub and the unit as a whole had a musty odor throughout. Windows didn’t open well and some screens were missing. Beds were firm, if you like that. Kitchen had no spices. The unit itself is decorated cute but dark inside so the pictures make it look brighter than it is. But for the most part it was fine. and sufficed for the few nights we stayed.

Almost perfect

Fun spot, but probably more suited for winter (walking distance to slopes), than summer (walking distance to empty slopes). Inside was clean, but the back porch could have used some upkeep by the cleaners prior to us arriving. Overall, a great place at a great price.

Wonderful Location

We loved our stay at Briarcliff on Sugar Mt. It was exactly what we needed for our stay. The check in and out was super simple and the accommodations were just as we expected.
