the Bloom Cottage has wonderful history in the village of Leland. the main part of the house was the original butcher shop and dates to the late 1800s. It was clearly a main part of the village and considered the "center" of town activities. You may hear a local historian speaking about the cottage history during her summer "walking tours" in town. The cottage was purchased in recent years by a long time Leland Summer resident for their family to enjoy year around. They enjoyed many visits to the cottage dating back to 1980s and knew it would make a wonderful retreat for their children sharing family traditions and appreciation for Leland and Leelanau County.

it is in the most ideal location in the center of the Village of Leland right across from the Leelanau Conservancy - Village Green. Walk to everything, bike around town and the county - you do not need a car in town Leland. Kayak or paddle board up the river into Lake Leelanau or bike down a few short blocks to Lake Michigan access.
A quaint Leland original cottage with modern updates. the cottage has mountains of charm > a perfect place for a family get away, summer vacation, off season retreat. Warm, inviting, cozy > guests have said " it feels like a scene from the movie The Notebook". curl up with a book, relax outside in the shaded porch with the birds singing > it is in the center of all Leland has to offer yet feels like an oasis.
