Stayed at this log cabin for a long weekend with my husband and another couple for a weekend of golf, hiking, and dining out. The cabin was spotlessly clean and was lovely. It was well equipped with everything we could need. It was actually pretty hot for late September and the air conditioning worked great and kept the cabin comfortable. The location was perfect. Very close to downtown Leland, and just a short drive to other towns like Sutton’s Bay and Northport. Communication with Mike, the owner, was excellent throughout the booking process. We did have one night where the neighbors in the home behind this one were very loud, I’m assuming that house is another rental that allows Bachelor parties based on the noise, but inside with the doors and windows closed we could not hear them. Can’t really avoid that in any “vacation” town. Other than the rowdy young men on Saturday night, the surrounding area was peaceful and quiet. We would stay here again.

The cabin was on a residential street, but you would never know it because the property was so private and peaceful. The home was clean with a fully-stocked kitchen and plenty of room to spread out. The ambiance was tranquil and cozy. Our dog liked it there too - so many places to sniff - and she loved being on the deck observing the yard. Mike, our host, was a pleasure to work with before and during our trip. He was cordial, responded quickly, and was very helpful in answering our questions. We had a wonderful time and would stay at Fishtown Lodge again!

The lodge is clean and very comfortable with a lot of space for a group. We enjoyed the large deck. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking meals. The bathrooms are nice sized and styled well.

This property is close to town and the lakes. It is very pretty and comfortable! Lots of space and amenities. The kitchen is well stocked. Owner answered all my questions and was super easy to work with. Everything was clean and so nice!

The Fishtown Lodge was a wonderful place for my family to gather. We had nine people, and the large home offered plenty of space both inside and out. The kitchen is very well-equipped. I wish we had checked out the house before grocery shopping, as there were so many condiments and spices that our purchases just added to the assortment. The upstairs loft was great for both adults and children, with plenty of toys and even a hidden playroom for the little ones, making the week more exciting. We enjoyed grilling out on the deck and campfires on the lawn. We could walk to town and the beach, and my children enjoyed an early morning run on the trails each day. The only area that could use improvement is the fold-out couch. We were advised that it was not comfortable after we added a couple of people and were told that we could have a full refund if we chose to go to another place. Still, we decided to go for it, and it was uncomfortable, as stated. So, unless you bring an air mattress, the three bedrooms are the only available options for sleeping, which is unfortunate, because the basement is spacious and could accommodate an extra person or two.

Perfect weekend getaway

We had such a great time while staying at this property. It fit all our needs and was so close to many of the places we wanted to visit. Everything was just as promised and the host was great at communicating with us promptly. We would stay again without question!

Great Leland location!

Just north of town. Spacious. Very well equipped. Great communication with the manager. It was easy to get to local hikes, sites and wineries.

Mike is so easy to communicate with and the house is fabulous! Tons of amenities in the kitchen. Bonus points for the shampoo/conditioner and soap!! We had deer visit each morning and evening. Great property!!

Chef’s Kiss (Perfection)

We had a wonderful stay. We had all the space we needed for our 8 travelers. The kitchen was stocked with lots of basics and dishes. We were nice and close to Fishtown and vans beach. We did the 10 min walked back and forth some and we drove some. The deck is fabulous. Great location to get to all of our favorites….dunes, kayaking on the platt, Interlochen concert, lake fishing, or just relaxing. Mike was quick to respond with questions. Next time we return we would like to stay here again.

Fantastic Home

We had a fantastic stay. The house is exactly as described in a beautiful location right outside of Leland. Also the owner communicated quickly and clearly. Overall, I’d highly recommend this home. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

We have been coming to Leelanau for years and love everything about it. We first stayed in this home as a rental before purchasing it as a vacation home. It is a great place to relax and enjoy everything that Leelanau has to offer, and we are happy to share it with you!

This home is great for families, with a bedroom and full bath on every floor. The basement is fully carpeted and great for kids. The log cabin, wood stove and stone chimney vibe can't be beat. We love to cook so the kitchen is well-stocked, not your typical rental kitchen.
