We felt like we were "in the woods" but close to everything. So nice to be close to the park able to return back for evening program. We could walk to dinner and support other local businesses. Living area and kitchen table big enough for us all to gather.

Convenient for visiting Denali. That’s about it for superlatives. Place is in desperate need of an upgrade in all areas. Was generally clean, but totally cluttered with old dusty knick nacks.

We would like to clarify that the Homestead House is an original Denali Park homestead. The house has been remodeled and updated with modern furniture while still preserving some of its original character through antique décor and furnishings. The antique pieces are intentional and are part of the history and charm of the property, not neglected or dusty clutter. We understand that the historic style may not be everyone’s preference, but we are proud to preserve the character of this original Denali Park homestead while providing modern updates for our guests. Clean home, very private, plenty of room. Note that the loft bedroom is only accessed via a ladder, so may not be suitable for young kids or older people.

Great place to stay near the park & good restaurants & shopping... and yet you are away from everything at the end of your own private road. The place is eclectic and RUSTIC, with plywood floors and cabin-style furniture. The bedroom with two beds is up a steep ladder/staircase and isn't suitable for anyone younger than, say, 5 -- or older than 40 :) I certainly didn't want anything to do with that room at 52, but the teenagers are find and may like it. There's a big TV with ability to access your streamers. Bathrooms are large and serviceable. The grounds were lovely. Plenty of parking. Really nice to have a place to hang (instead of hideaway in a hotel room) at the end of the day with family.

Our homestead cabins were originally built in the 1970s and early 1980s, with the loft and steep staircase. With the bedroom and a ladder/staircase, we've worked to preserve their unique rustic character while providing modern comforts for our guests. We appreciate your comments about the loft staircase, as it helps future guests understand the cabin's original design. It was a pleasure hosting you and your family. The Denali Homestead is in a fantastic location for visiting the park and getting to all the activities, shops, and restaurants in the area. It’s also well-maintained and spacious. We truly enjoyed our three-night stay there!

This quirky property located right outside the Denali Park entrance sits on a hill offering a quiet and peaceful space. It is a minute away from the strip with all the restaurants and shopping We enjoyed the space it offered, its unique antiques, washing machine and Keurig coffee maker. It also had two bathrooms which was a luxury. Communication during the booking process, and with questions I had prior to arrival were always answered promptly.Check in was a little confusing as I didn’t remember reading anything in the listing about checking in at the RV park, leading us to make several loops driving around trying to locate the property. Finally, we just happened to go onto the RV trailer to ask if they knew where there home was and they actually manage it and you check in there. The one other thing that threw me off was that the 3 rd bedroom was located in a loft accessed by some really steep stairs with no handrail. The closest bathroom would mean descending that ladder in the middle of the night. Unfortunately , while checking out that space, as she descended, my young adult daughter actually fell ( in the middle of the day) so we decided not to use the loft for sleeping purposes.I did go back to VRBO just to ensure I didn’t miss the check in process or the loft disclosures and couldn’t find any information on either, There is always a possibility that information could have been tucked in there and I overlooked itOverall, we would stay there again !

Unique home close to the shops. Blocked by trees so you don't feel like it. We were in and out of Denali and surrounding area. Great place to stay.

Very clean, and well stocked with cleaning supplies, towels, etc.Secluded and quiet but near park and shops.Unique, rustic home with a lot of character, reflecting the traditional style of the earliest residents of the area.While the house has a few flaws that come with older builds, it’s comfortable enough to stay for a visit to the area

Did not realize that the office to check in was the same as the RV park, but once we realized that everything went smoothly. The house was nice and secluded yet very walkable to everything Denali had to offer. Extremely steep road and driveway to get to the house, so be prepared. Would definitely stay again.

Rustic Cabin

The cabin was rusic as well as clean & comfortable. It had everything to fix meals & relaxing. We liked how secluded it was but still close to attractions & shops. We would definitely stay here again.

Tucked away house in a hill

The place was bigger than I expected from the listing. It was tucked up in a private nook on the hill side. It served our family of 5 quite nicely and gave us a place to rest from our adventures in Denali park. Very close to all the activities in the area but somehow hidden enough that all that seemed so far.

Our Homestead house provides all the modern conveniences, and accommodates up to 6 people. Very private yet close to our boardwalk of shops, restaurants, and all of Denali's activities & services. A great stay for anytime visitors to Alaska.

As described. Perfect for our family. Very peaceful and private. Road in definitely needs a 4-wheel drive but central to everything we needed.Well stocked kitchen. Could use a few more utensils for the grill but other than that, was great. Looks like it’s being renovated but worked for us!Thank you for a great stay in Denali!
