We had the most wonderful stay in this charming cottage. It was in the perfect location for our family and Chris and his wife were wonderful hosts and available to help with anything that came up. The home has everything you need and even some added perks like a children's books, a puzzle table and puzzles for rainy days. We loved our stay and would certainly return.

Charming Cottage in Northeast Harbor
We stayed for a week in this renovated cottage in NEH. Te house has a great location in town, close to main street and our favorite restaurants, shops and the harbor. Everything is walking distance. We rent houses in NEH every year and the results can be a mixed bag, but this House is impeccably maintained and very clean. Owner was great to deal with. We will stay again!

My wife fell in love with Mount Desert during childhood vacations. I came to Northeast Harbor during college summers to teach sailing and eventually manage the local sailing club. We are both teachers and love spending vacations here with our three children, biking, hiking, and boating. We love walking into town or down to the marina in the early evenings to see what new boats have sailed in.

We bought this cottage because of its excellent location, its large private lot, and the way its plantings preserved its privacy. We like to bike on the carriage trails, launch kayaks down at the Sea Street dock, walk to the beautiful public gardens at the head of the harbor, or stop in at McGrath's for a coffee and the local paper.

Some of the most important gifts we take away from vacations are the sounds we hear. From our cottage, you will be surrounded by birdsong from the trees that surround the property, children's voices from the children's center up the street, and families walking or biking into town. When the wind shifts east, you'll hear the gong at the harbor entrance and fog horns out on the Western Way.
